Costumes!

Post by Technician »

There weren't any recent threads on the topic of costumes so I'm starting one. Today the Princess Jasmine costume I got for Bubbles arrived so I did a quick test fit. Everything seems to work out nicely but I have to work on styling her hair and put her black eyes in.
The accompanying jewelry is a belly dance assortment from Amazon.
In every picture of Jasmine that I see her fingernails are not painted so I'm not sure if she would look better without fingernails at all in cartoon fashion or with them on and painted a specific color. I'm thinking about gold for the fingernails and toenails, unless somebody has a better suggestion.

..... and if anyone from staff has any pointers on making my images render properly I'm all ears....

Hey, great idea for a costume thread! I'm sure I'll add images at some point.
On your topic of images... I take all my pics with my phone and "edit" them with the free version of Adode Lightroom (phone app). Pre-sets all the way lol. Pretty easy to use. It also prevents photos from being oriented 90° the wrong way too. I tried to upload one time without using Lightroom and some were turned for no reason. Tried after just saving them in the app and uploading from that folder and worked like a charm!

Thanks for the tip Beardo, I'll download that app and give it a shot. I'm not sure how many of us are into the costume thing but I would love to see this thread populated with pictures. I figure my dolls can be anyone I want so why not have a variety of personalities?

Edit: I downloaded that app but it demanded a google account or similar to run, so I got an app that came up in playstore right after it called Snapseed and that works too. Thanks for suggesting the third party solution.

That's a darn good point! Come to think of it they likely didn't use lipstick, but somehow Jasmine has very red lips.

Forget what I said about Lightroom. I downloaded Snapseed... it's MUCH better lol. That is now my "editing" tool!

Also, what kind of costumes do you hope to see in this thread? Character costumes like Princess Jasmine, or generic ones like "schoolgirl"? Or whatever folks want to share?

Hopefully this thread can serve as an idea sharing thread of sorts. So it would be nice to see costumes from all walks. Also, since the theme is costumes I don't see any reason for the models to be limited to solid life-size dolls when there are so many other types and sizes of dolls.

I saw a documentary on Egyptian and learn a fascinating idea that the female used metals to get colors for makeup and change hair color. So I guess that’s how jasmin have access to makeup lol

Bea Arthur from Golden Girls? If you have it, that particular costume doesn't necessarily need to be shared, just curious how deep your freak runs.

No lol

I don't really have Celebrity type costumes but I'm sure others might.

There's a thread now about Kat Dennings from 2 broke girls, has anyone done the Max / waitress theme costume? Seems hot.

Also, I'm back on my Quick change fingernail project, I'll be making gold nails for Jasmine, but I can pop them off and have no-nail cartoon Jasmine or unpainted nails just as easily. Have to see what's sexiest.

Hey Technician! Gorgeous girl and great costume!! As far as fingernails go, my idea is just go with french tips. You can't go wrong there and it goes with everything. Fun thread, i'll add a pic soon.
