Part 6: "When in Rome...or Germany"

This happened mid-October of last year...

"Oh, hi, Oriana. Looks like you're in a really good mood."

"Yes, on my way back home i was shopping a little. And i've found something i've wanted to have for a long time, and got it for really cheap!"

"OK, what is it?"

"It's a surprise. Just give me a few minutes, then i'll show it to you!"

20 minutes later...

"Oriana, what's up? Do you need a helping hand?"

"No, no, i think i've got it now. I'm coming!"

"The braids took longer than i thought. What do you think?"

"Looks good. The Dirndl and braids really suit you!"

"Thought so as well. Don't i look peak German now?"

"I thought we could look for an Oktoberfest around here and visit it on the weekend. What do you think?"

"Well..."

"Well what now?"

"Well, first of all, Oktoberfest is mainly a Bavarian thing. We don't really do that around here. Also, do you know why it's called Oktoberfest?"

"Because it takes place in October, doesn't it?"

"Yeah, kinda. It runs till the first weekend in October. Which means..."

"It's already over???"

"Yep. That's probably also why you've gotten that Dirndl for so cheap. Oh, and also: You're totally giving off the wrong vibe."

"How can I give off the wrong vibe by wearing a dress?"

"The position of the bow is supposed to tell your relationship status. The way you're wearing it right now with the bow in the front center indicates you're a virgin. And I know for sure and from personal experience that that's not true."

"Heey,don't make me blush again. What alternatives are there for the bow?"

"Tied in the back would mean you're a widow..."

"That might be an option if this conversation continues like that..."

"What did you say?"

"Nothing. What other alternatives are there? After all, i'm not a widow either (yet)."

"Tied in your front right means you're single, tied in your front left would mean you're married, or in a steady relationship."

"Ok, then..."

Oriana adjusts the bow.

"What do you think? Feels quite right to me."
