I have kept my eye on Tayu for quite some time. I believe it is a combination of dolls that look sexy in most postures in combination with relatively high quality and good sexual function. They are unfortunately also very good at marketing, so I am not sure you get what you pay for.

Having seen a bunch of the photoshoots done by people on this forum it looks like you do get what you pay for. The only problem I can recall people complaining about was the base silicone was a different colour to the "skin" so when they started peeling it looked like they had vitiligo. And Tayu have said they're planning to dye the base silicone now so that shouldn't be an issue moving forward.

I'd happily buy one if they weren't basically double the cost on a lot of other dolls. Maybe when I win the lotto...

I think this is a major innovation for silicone dolls, because it is a particularly visible defect. That certain details (veins, shadows, etc.) fade over time is acceptable, but seeing the complexion of your doll ruined by a skin disease is really embarrassing for dolls with one of the justifications of the price is that the material is more durable than TPE.
Since other cheaper manufacturers have made this innovation, I think Tayu is obliged to follow (even if its paint was generally considered more resistant and durable than some competitors).

Maybe I should fly in and make you an offer for your Tayu148 19kg doll and take her on another 90day USA road trip like last time. - that 2019 roadtrip with 4 dolls was amazing - I still remember the 'disco room' at the sex hotel in Miami - disco strobe lights playing awesome music with 4 hot dolls dancing on the strippers poll - perfection...
