Hello all, my name is Jelek I'm from Canada and I just joined. I don't own any dolls yet but heard about this site and thought it would be a good research resource. I've come to a decision to purchase my first one, but there are a lot of questions I have about it and doll ownership in general. I look forward to chatting with you and picking your brains a bit so I don't make some rookie mistakes. Thanks

Thank you. I did go though the new member info site already. I hope I posted this in the right place as the site looks a little different on my device (or maybe this site has just been updated since). I will definitely be reaching out to ask questions as I have quite a few and would like to avoid some costly and common first time mistakes.

Yes, you posted in just the right place. It can be a bit tricky for new members to know where to post.
If you want to ask some questions then Dolls in General is a good place for general questions https://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=87
Or if you have questions about a specific doll then there are forums for manufacturers and vendors.

Welcome Jelek! I'm also new and continue to be struck at the openness and support of the people here. I'm very nervous as my first doll was ordered but a week ago through The Doll House, who are supporting me as best they can. On the every other day I'm not asking them something, I'm here reading about what others have asked and end up having unexpected and positive conversations.

It's a pretty great place - glad to meet 'cha.
