storage?

Post by jjjjjjjj »

Looking for a way to store my doll.
can I store viola in a fetus position to save space for a week or so?
I want a storage box that is lockable and small due to space constraints and company commingled over.

Would a gunlocker work?
My doll shipped. Tomorrow so I don't. Have her domensions yet in a smaller position.

I would really not recommend Viola to be in a fetal position...

Here is how I store my doll

The Storage Box is an IKEA MALM under bed Storage. I removed the center divider and used it for additional support underneath.
The padding is the padding sent with the original box, but a foam pad should work just as well

That looks like a great storage solution even if it is not actually used under a bed. Do you have any pictures of the storage box taken from some distance away?

I posted this over in the BD section also, but I will repeat it since it applies to Viola as well:

This rubbermaid container could potentially be a good storage option:

That might be tight for Macy or Viola, I measured their bodies to be about 48 inches, you'd have to fold them a little. Maybe bend their knees.

To really work I would think you need something about 50 inches in length.

oneatatime,

I checked on the interior dimensions of that container. The interior dimensions are A LOT smaller than the exterior, so there is no way it would work for a Macy/Viola doll.

In continuing to search, I did find this closed-container option which is much more ideally suited for Macy/Viola doll storage; however, it costs ~$100 when you add on the lid.

This is the best closed container option that I managed to find after hours of searching. Unless I find something better, I am going to try one of these out & let everyone know how it goes. If it doesn't work out for the Macy/Viola, it can always be used for my other storage needs.

Ideally, I would like to use your underbed storage; however, when I need to hide the doll from snooping family, guests, etc..., under the bed is one of the first places they would look - and I have caught them in the act of snooping in my bedroom in the past.
