Keeping clean during repairs

Post by ivanova »

Looking at knee surgery in another thread (http://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtopi ... 63&t=38581) and reading about post-op cleanup, this thought came to mind:

Place two sheets of Saran wrap along the line where you plan to cut into the doll. Tape down with a single 2-inch-wide strip of blue painter's tape (guessing here; have never had a silicone doll and don't know if this tape will stick). Cut through the tape and skin, do the repair, seal, then remove the tape, plastic, and debris. I saw this in a museum video of bypass surgery where clear adhesive sheets isolated the skin while the chest was open.
