My doll is ready to ship
Today Steven from DS confirmed that my doll is ready for shipping, once I've complete payment for my invoice
Here are some photos he has sent me
I particularly like her cat-like piercing-blue eyes Li's face does have a soft-feature in which I find very lovely A picture of her little feet: I was suprised by the details DS has worked on her toes. Comparing to my Level-D's Ayana from 2 years ago & my 4Woods Liliana from a year ago, though they are equally beautiful, their feet are a little lack in details as their 4 smaller toes are not separated. With DS's toes at least the first 2 toes are individuals (I've ordered with internal-structure in the toes)
The doll manufacturers are improving existing formulas as time goes by. For a lower-price doll I am suprised by the details and efforts that DS has spent on their dolls that are no less than the higher-price high-end dolls from renowned manufacturers such as Level-D & 4Wood (though I must say Hiroo san has once again raised the bar with his new S+ model, in which I'm planning to order at early next year)
DS is bringing some fierce competition into the high-end doll-market with their current price and quality
Will post more photos once I receive my doll (yet to be named)

DS offers 2 different types of silicone for their dollslouislaine31 wrote: Is it a new silicone ?
According to DS, the standard silicone is more tear-resistance while the extra soft silicone requires extra care when handling
Agree with you Stef. It will be interesting to see if/how other doll manufacturers respond as demand increasing for their competitorsStef wrote:Congrats Kusanagi, you're gonna be amazed by this doll, i also own several Japanese dolls and i think DS raised the bar really high, all that for a rather nice price !
I saw some of the beautiful pictures of your Japanese dollies. It appears that while western-manufacturer's are more focused on the practicality for their dolls, the Asian (Japanese as majority and now Chinese as well) dolls are more focused on bringing out their beauty. I am a sucker for this

Learnt something new everydayStef wrote:By the way, DS is actually a Japanese company based in China.
Arte Tokio?
I remembered 2 or 3 yrs ago I bought a 55cm An & a 40cm Fam from Arte Tokio. I've always admired the shapely body of the 55cm model and wish one day they will make a 1:1 scale doll for her...I guess DS 132 is quite close to it
If DS/AT will make An's head for 1:1 I will likely order a second doll. Just cannot resist that innocent expression on her face
