My Doll's Big Box

Post by Campdaan »

Hopefully the title sucked you in...

I've had Dolls for Years now, I wanted to keep things neat in the Taj, So I purchased a Tacklebox at Wal-Mart to help me keep things organized. I keep some of the Major repair stuff in a cabinet, such as the 2-part and things for other projects.

Anyone is Welcome to post something that they would like to see in a "Doll Tool-Box". Let's share some ideas.

Image

From top left to right:

A compact of blush for nipple coloring, The Ball-Mold for Cookie's nips,Lipgloss, 3 tubes of maybelline Lipstick, A Merkin, 2 Hooks for a Dolly-Dolly. Next row (partialy obscured) A Carbiner for rigging, a swivel, and a Syringe, for injecting lube into eyes and 2-part into nipple molds, and Boob-Gel, if the need ever arises.

Next tray down:

Lipstick, 2 tubes of Real-Doll adhesive, Foundation powder (to take the shine off Dottie's face), An applicator brush, another compact of areola colored blush, A retractable razor knife for surgery, and another merkin.

Last tray down:

Lipstick, 2 Large Blanket-pins, 3 neck-bolts, 2 make-up brushes. Lipstick, Face Velcros.

In the Bottom of the Box:

Pipe Cleaners, some Velcro straps, a tube of Sil-Poxy, A box of safety pins, a box of Tee-pins and (hidden) some clothespins.

Outside: a Hairbrush, and some "Lumb-r-Grips" ... an awesome product if you have exposed joists.

OK... questions ? Comments ? anything you would Add ?

Impressive. If only I was that organized. I currently have to hunt all over the place to assemble the materials needed to fix my dollies. Would save me a lot of time to keep them together the way you do.
Pre Owned Realdoll - $2500 with Visa debit card
Pre Owned 1st Pc - $1700 with Visa debit card
The day I will finally be able to use either of them after the repairs are done - Priceless

That's great. Zara needs something like that, she's got stuff spread all over the place.

One of the other things I have is a Shoe Holder. It's made to hang over the back of a door, But I mounted mine on the wall.

These can be found for about $10-15 dollars.

It's holds Lube, chains, Toys, and yes, Shoes.

The one I have is dark blue and does not photograph well.

I have 8 boxes with doll stuff. 5 of them filled with all kinds of clothes.

I just noticed the make/model of that box... 8O

I bought one exactly like it over a decade ago, only mine is fluorescent chartreuse. I tore out the shelves and turned it into a lunch box that fit perfectly on the rear rack of my bicycle. I still have it, although I don't know why, I haven't worked in over a year.

Maybe I could turn it into a silicone first aid kit, all my repair stuff is still in the boxes Abyss sent it to me in.

Highly interesting. And I begun to compose a repair box too.

But I beg your attention: The best storage of the adhesive is in the refrigerator, with lower temperatures you will have lower loss of adhesive. There are very smaller stoppers at the end of the tube.

And an appendix: How do you think about a little bottle of acetone, alcohol and/or naphtha?

I'd be somewhat wary about using acetone, it is a powerful solvent that can ruin many things, your lungs among them. I find that 70% isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) works for most purposes. it's also much easier and cheaper to find. To say nothing about being a lot less flammable :onfire:

To clean the adherends I use normally alcohol in an aerosol can.

Acetone or naphtha I use only in difficult cases, e. g. big adherends.

I keep the solvents in a cabinet.

I have Acetone, Naptha, D'Limonene and MEK (Methyl Ethyl Keytone) which is nasty stuff. But great for cleaning that gray metal dust around joints. Just don't get it on plastic.

I know that stuff gives Incred a HUGE headache.

The D'Limonene is a natural citrus solvent, good for thinning nipple sealant. Plus it has a nice orange scent !
