I was waxing nostalgic this evening, and looking through all the pics of Melanie...since I brought her home, back in February of 2004.

They brought back some real nice memories for me, and I thought that maybe some of the newer members would get a kick out of her pics, that earned the greatest hits

Boring, no not at all. Melanie is a real beauty, there were some pictures I haven't seen, thank you for that.

She looks very real in these pictures. I just love a girl sitting (or lying) pretty with her legs crossed. I hope my Jenna will be able to do that as well.

For some reason this one, just out of the shower, sort of reminds me of a physical education teacher. Except there were no teachers, PE or otherwise, resembling her at any of the schools I went to...

Hi Mid,

I regularly drop by Melanie’s album, as she’s one of my favourite dolls, so I know her pictures pretty well by now. Your selections are just about the ones I would have picked. A “Greatest Hits” album is a good idea, as it summarises Melanie’s assets for the casual Doll Album browser.

The only suggestion I could make is moving this album to the beginning of Melanie’s main album. It would then be like a taster for someone visiting Melanie for the first time. However, I don’t know if it’s possible. I’ve had a quick look at Claire’s album but I can’t see an easy way of reordering the contents. Anyway, just a thought.

forgive the minor thread hijacking:

DaveC,
I think re-ordering in the Doll Album can be a two step process:
1. Renaming the sub-albums with a sortable index (1,23,3,4, etc.) at the beginning of the sub-album name in the order you want, then
2. using the admin command "sort", and the albums are reordered the way you want them. Later, you can rename them and remove the ordering index.

There may be an easier way, but I haven't found it.

peter-girth....those "eyes," are actually marbles

I went to Toys-R-Us, and bought a bag of 100 assorted marbles....luckily, 2 of them were almost the same and the right size

perry....yes, that wet look does wonders for me

everhard; if I had a Phys Ed teacher that looked like that back in the day, I'd prolly be in NFL or MLB right now

Ole...(and DaveC,) I didn't try to move the album to the front, I just created a "new nested album," on the last page, then went through each photo, and chose the "move" option. Then just sent the pic to the newly created album.

Davecat......I am preparing to move, so I am "downsizing" all my stuff around here. I got a bunch of clothes, blankets, etc. together....and I figured some little kid in New Orleans would like Serina....so she went also

(another photo shoot with Melanie's baby would require an older looking baby anyhow.)

Thanks again for the kind comments...I may just do the same for my "other girls."

A great set of pics, and what it really shows off is how the same doll can be made to look so different with different hair, clothes and lighting. I think in the first pic, she looks South American, but then in the "fresh out of the shower" pic, she could be northwest European. But however she looks, she looks fantastic.
