Just my personal opinion, but to me #1 looks like she's sick or just woke up, while #2 looks like she put some effort into getting herself ready for a night out.

Up to now, everyone has cast their votes for #2, which is a bit surprising. Could you share the reasons for choosing #2

Red eye Make up is very, very tricky- mostly, a woman with red eyes looks sick, beaten, or just drunk.
Myself, I always use dark brown metallic, nude with shimmer or copper ( as in nr 2). It looks more natural and is very flattering, too. On #1, it’s red eyeliner on the water line- no woman would do this. A little red eyeshadow CAN look good- but it’s really, really tricky and a difficult color on the eyes.

As a Westerner, I have only ever seen "red" eye makeup done as a transition color to a darker tone--like how it is done with the "smoky eye" application. Even then, the red is a variation of red/purple/brown. I have never seen it done in the way the #1 doll has it as a thin line around the shape of the eyelid and it's probably for the reason that BreeYukiParis explained.
