I have a breast reduction project in my near future. I am also worried about my lack of artistic modeling skills so am looking for ways to minimize visable seams. I find your approach interesting and well thought out.
My doll has solid breasts so our approaches will be different, and your experience will be well used in my approach.

I have to admit, if I had to do it again, I would go with a simpler method. When I thought about it, it was too late for this one, I had already cut it off!
It's mainly because this doll is made of very soft TPE that I opted for this method. The skin is so malleable!

Do you have an idea of what method you will use? Are your doll's breasts very large and what type of TPE? If they are big enough, I can sketch you the other method I found to reduce and especially to lift the breasts.

Alternative method much easier!

...There is another method that I think is easier...but I'll explain it later...

...I have a breast reduction project in my near future...

As I mentioned in the original description and to RevJack I had found a much easier alternative method to make this MOD but it was too late for this doll, I had to continue with the original idea. (I wish I had another doll to try this method! )

a) Mark and cut out the part of the breast that you want to keep and which will be its final shape. (Photos #098 & #099)

b) Following the profile of the rib cage, cut out the rest of the breast. The upper part of the breast could be kept as in the original MOD. Hollow out this part to obtain a skin (3/8 inch: 10 mm) thick. (Photo #100)

c) Hollow out the rib cage (3/8 inch: 10 mm) deep to make room for the new skin. Cut, fit and weld the new skin in place.(Photos #101 to #103)

d) Move the original breast to its new position and secure it in place. Solder and smooth as shown in the original MOD. (NOTE: At this stage, you can also transform a solid breast into a hollow breast!) (Pictures #104 & #105)

Hey, thanks Brunch! It was your video that started it all!

Since then, I've done a lot of small repairs on my dolls but this MOD is by far the most important remodel I've tried so far!

I didn't mention it but this doll is made of ultra soft TPE and the skin was stretched so much that it had lost all consistency around the nipple. I couldn't even get it into a cone shape anymore, the skin was sagging under its own weight! I had no choice but to make the breasts solid but they are still very soft! I really like them!
