First off I want to thank you Jerry for this ection and especially for mentioning that Netscape has a Composer. Here I'm trying to put together a crappy little site and all along I had a good tool to do so easily. Yeah, I admit, 'puters aren't my forte. :~)

Anyway in putting together a gallery page with thumbs to link to the full sized images what is a good size to use? I'd like the pages to be fast loading for modem users. Thanks for all the help.

Do you have Microsoft Office?

If you do... you installed a neat little program that you probably don't even know you have... PHOTOED.EXE

It will allow you to do a bunch of stuff including image resize. I usually resize to 200 pixels wide... then save as SM_xxxxxx.xxx

In other words, if the file name was:
dollpicture.jpg
then the smaller version would be named:
sm_dollpicture.jpg
This helps me to keep track of them. You could also stick the clue to the rear of the file name instead...
dollpicture_sm.jpg
Which is what I started doing now... because the image will show up together in a directory listing.
