Silicone, Latex, and TPE all have the same issue longer term... erosion. My current doll, a stuffed, sleeved mid-level inflatable is suffering from this. Repeated friction from kissing will slowly wear away the material.
With your sewing skill it might be possible to make a stuffed, shaped mouth with PUL (polyurethane laminate). It should be more durable than what you have now.
That's not to say your work was less than impressive. It's just that my experience longer term with that kind of mouth leaves a "dry taste".
