So it does sound like your Dagmar and mine were built the same, but for some reason on yours they put your feet on the angle. On mine they didn't, her feet are perfectly flat. So the only shoes I could put on her are those that have little to no heel on them. It probably could be a variant in assembly in how the feet were attached to that spring.

Yeah, I like the angled feet for heels but then it made standing her rather awkward in bare feet lol.

Yeah, I like the angled feet for heels but then it made standing her rather awkward in bare feet lol.

Still with the way your Dagmar's feet are, you have the ability to put her in heels. Being tall like I am, that would have been been a HUGE plus for me. But then again...my favorite doggy style position might have been more difficult to put her in. But I think putting her in lower heels and spreading her legs out a bit more would compensate. But in heels I could get her in the 5'8" to 5'10" height and it certainly would make it easier for kissing while standing.

Eryka does stand pretty well without shoes on and as I mentioned, I just have to prop her butt up against a wall or even a piece of furniture and she will stand upright from there. I just have to angle her legs properly so that there would be no chance of her slipping and that is something I check for each time I stand her up on her own. But checks in place, knock on wood, she has never fallen over.

I have a question more topic related. On your older TPE dolls such as Riza and Stephanie, have you notices any damage on her, meaning skin blemishes or tears? One of the cons that comes up often on the silicon and TPE dolls is that the skin can develop tears easily. Also, a big issue is with wire fingers and the ends poking through the fingers. Has this happened to any of your dolls?

Riza has a few tears on elbows and knees and one on shoulder. Those all came from my newbie attempts at moving her when I first acquired her and didn't know how to do it properly. Riza's fingers are a mess, that's why I try to keep her hands out of the view in later pics- I keep a pair of thick gloves on her hands now to hide the hands.
Stephanie's fingers started to have the poking issue early on as well- no damage anywhere else on her body however other than the bottom of her feet from scuffing.
No feet or finger issue on Sarah so far.

So with Riza, she has poke through with the fingers? Oh! Stephanie has it too? I wonder if these manufacturer would LEARN by now. I think it was decades before WM decided to do something about the gooseneck problems on their dolls.

I just think that the TPE and Silicone dolls are too fragile and given the cost on them, I was dismayed to hear that TPE dolls usually last from 5 to 6 years. To me that is shocking for a $2000+ investment. With Silicone, at least you CAN get 10 years out of it, but it is a more expensive material. Naw, the more I here about stuff like this and the other disadvantages to the 'life like' dolls, the more I think that fabric dolls are where it is at. They are lighter, warmer, and more durable. Granted they are not as beautiful as TPE or Silicone dolls, but they seem to have the potential to last longer. Also given my age, I appreciate the lighter weight too.

Hopefully, one day they will finally have a material that will yield the looks of a silicone doll but with the weight and durability of a fabric doll.

Yeah, I definitely agree that more companies should have a few fabric doll choices. For people who don't want to pay as much, who don't want to deal with the weight and care of TPE dolls, having more fabric options would improve sale.
Take Pipedream's Mia, personally I love my Sarah, but I can guess she'd be the hardest to sell just cause she's so heavy. If they take that body type and put it towards a fabric doll, she might be selling out like hot cakes.

It did seem that DS was on the right track with their EX-Lite. Visually, that doll was the best looking lightweight doll hands down. But the material they used was just not durable enough for sexual activity. There was a fellow here, Psion Satori, and he has done some beautiful dressing up, posing and photography work with his Ex-Lite doll. But he even said that he doesn't have sex with the doll and ONLY uses it for photography work. That was my intention as well and I almost went for the Ex-Lite when they were closing them out, but they were tricking the buyer into thinking he/she was getting a good deal. They offered the doll for $350, but then the shipping charge was $300 on top of that! I was like, "No Way!"

I would think that out of the plush/fabric dolls, it seems the Teddy Babes are the most famous. The reason why is because they are affordable. But looking around and for around the same price was when I found Beautiful Dolls and Dagmar. While Happy Dolls mainly made Anime dolls, the Dagmar was one of two models that they offered a realistic silicone head option and THAT is what sold me. Otherwise I probably would have bought either a Teddy Babe or most likely a Textile Doll.

I did send a message this afternoon to Yuri and I told him of my intentions that I would like to have a body made up for the Dagmar silicone head. So I guess we will see what he has to say. If making a body without the head actually shaves a couple hundred bucks off a complete doll, then I might go that route. Then Eryka would have two bodies. I could use her with the Textile Doll body and her body would be freed up to be repaired.

But yes, more manufacturers should take fabric dolls into consideration. They are lighter, cost less to make, and are more durable than TPE or Silicone dolls. Further, you don't have to warm them up either. I bet you probably find that as a drawback to your TPE ladies, huh? I know that when I crawled into bed with Eryka, she was pretty cool to the touch at first, BUT cuddling up with her with the covers on, things warmed up pretty quickly (in more ways than one). With TPE or silicone dolls, I heard many use a heated blanket to warm up their dolls and while that is a viable option, I have also heard that cheap heating blankets, the thermostat could go bad and they could rise up pretty high in temperature and damage the surface of a very expensive doll. I remember there was as doll company that even had a built in heater option and it was a good quality and even then I have seen pictures of a damaged doll when the temperature control failed.

Naw, I just know what I prefer and I still am mostly sold on fabric dolls. There are just more pluses than negatives with them and the biggest one being affordability. Don't get me wrong, the silicone and TPE dolls are just utterly beautiful and come the closest to a real woman, but given the longevity on them, I just can't see spending $2000 for a doll that is expected to last only 5 or 6 years.

Here in Canada...hells yeah lol...like sleeping next to sides of beef freshly thawd rofl. It's why unless it's warm weather, I usually had Cammy or Jewel share my bed- now it's down to just Jewel...

Yeah, that's not for me. I can't think of a faster way to loose a woodie than trying to reposition an 80lb side of beef on a cold winter night...forget about insertion!

On the plus side though, on a warm summer day they feel so bloody realistic that just laying your hand on their thigh can put you in the right mood!

They look great and I give the dolls that. It is just the negatives still outweigh the positives. The downsides are just too many...they are heavier, harder to dress, harder to clean, longevity is less, they cost more to buy and they are cold to the touch. Whereas the downsides to a fabric doll is that they are just not as accurate representations of a woman. But for me Eryka was close enough. Still in the end I end up spending more money to have a 'backup' body or doll so I could eventually fix Eryka's body...IF I can fix it. But if I end up going the way of Textile Dolls, and I am happy with the outcome, I might just end up selling the Dagmar body off and just recoup some losses on it and let someone else that has more time on their hands fix the skeleton issues.

Yeah...dressing TPE dolls, especially full size ones is definitely a job and a half. Especially when it comes to things like pantyhose- you have to lay them down, get the garment over their legs, and then stand them up so you can pull it over their butts- all the while trying to balance them...and your self... lol

Exactly. That is also the way I put pantyhose on Eryka. She's only 34 lbs and it is still a chore, especially in the summer? The good thing with her is that because her leg joints are still good, I just hang her legs off the edge of the bed and then stretch the pantyhose as much as I can up the lower legs and then slowly work up, working out the wrinkles and trying to keep it straight as I go up. But yes, when it got up to her butt, I had to stand her up and then finish. That last part, getting the pantyhose over her butt was always the hardest, but also gratifying. Full body suits are even harder to put on. I have this awesome looking black one that I did test and it doesn't stain, but I never left that one on her for long. It is probably the hardest outfit to get her in and out of, but I have to say that it is probably the sexiest outfit for her. It is the one that I described that was off shoulder with lace with very intricate patterns and cutouts all over the body, arms and legs. It is probably one of the most sexiest single piece garment I have seen to date. But you certainly would need some great strength to get an 80lb + doll into that outfit. But I am sure with Jewel's lightweight, you could get her into that one.

You put these on just like pantyhose, but they go all the way up and the arms are pretty tricky to get into. If you think the arms might be too difficult, they do have versions that are a halter style and I could assume they are much easier to put on.

This is more a jumpsuit, but it is ivory colored, so you wouldn't have to worry about staining your dolls with it. Further it has a zipper crotch to facilitate immediate gratification. >:} (patented Evil Grin).
