interesting are they stickons or did you use ink? if you used ink how did you keep it from bleeding in the fabric?

No worries, using high grade fabric markers and a little bit of love.

I thought about using embroidered style patches but it would take away from the velvety smooth texture of her skin...

very interesting. i love tattoos and was considering putting some on my fabric doll too so i'm curious how this holds up and what the process used was.

well there are things to avoid, especially with such an expensive doll... so, if your going the fabric marker rout, i would not buy brands cheap, like Tulip, Crayola, any cheap fabric marker is going to bleed and ruin your doll..

i am an artist and these mediums are always at hand, i order the best and most quality i can find especially when it comes to fabric markers. They can get a little pricey but to me you get what you pay for.

also keep in mind that the ink has , i repeat, has to dry completely before handling the doll in any manner that would cause it to bleed. i personally wont tough the doll where marker has been applied for several weeks to a month just to be sure nothing spreads...

yea, tattoos look really sexy on the TeddyBabe, cant argue that.....

also, how did you get her neck to bend?. seems mine wasnt designed like that.....

i believe karrot used a slip on fake tattoo sleeve, most teddy babe heads will turn some are stuck have no idea if you can free it up karrot might know.

Yup, its a sleeve, so i can take it off when she has a bath...

I've encountered Teddybabes with very stiff necks. It all depends how much wire they have in their necks. The one that had really stiff necks turned out to have one or more VERY stiff wires running up their spines and in to the head as well as the long wires that form the spine and leg skeleton. You can remove them, but you may end up with a very floppy bobble head for a doll, as the wire is used to stiffen the spine and stop the head from bobble-heading about. Best solution would be to replace the stiff wire with thinner wires.
