I knew a man when I was in my early 20's (almost 30 years ago). This man was in his 60's at that time, and developed colon cancer. He is now close to 90. He did
beat it!!
Be strong, be courageous! One day at a time!!

Very sorry to hear this. My wife had problems but luckily hadn't spread to the lung. Chemo is exhausting but can be worthwhile. Immuno related treatment is coming along and interesting. She had the good fortune to be recommended to https://www.imperial.ac.uk/people/j.stebbing
