She looks amazing AVT100, thanks for the pics!

Like everyone i really like the red coloring and the shading detail on her, gives her skin a very natural look and magnificent depth to her complexion. Incredible work there by Sanhui's artists, their coloring detail on her really is impressive!

I'm looking forward to seeing more of your gorgeous Elfie when she arrives!



Malena might take a little while more before she is complete, at least i'll be able to look at your pics with envy in the meantime

Well, I hope she actually does have the new skeleton, as I too would be interested to know how that impacts her flexibility and the durability of the joints.

I was surprised by the amount of shading and detail work. I was already happy with the actual photo model doll from this thread but their artists are definitely taking pride in their work. The thing that stands out the most to me is how incredibly fit and toned she looks. Just a sleek and beautiful body.
Anyway, I'm about 8 hours from delivery now so I better get some sleep.

That means today is delivery day for AVT100! Woot!

I could be wrong, but my guess is that the shape was not redone, but that the darker than usual color, especially with the detailed paint work, is making her look more "fit". When I look at photos of dolls on their site, same model, but in a dark tan color, it really makes the body features stand out, in comparison to they typically shown #2 skin tone, or especially the pale #1.

These pics are already very helpful, and I can imagine other color combos that would look good with this kind of paint work.

BTW, are they adding the leaf, or are you? lol

It's actually a fully painted doll. There's brown shading around her body accents. Even in places you don't expect there are shading applications. She's really cool looking and it was great to open up her box and see the elfie face peering out at me. Unfortunately I have to leave for work in an hour but I was able to give her a good sponge bath and yes, she's a ball joint skeleton. An absolute dream to move around.

She sounds awesome! Gonna be a long work day, eh?

It's official, Malena is coming home!
She will be a 168 Lorelei with pigmented dark blue bits, and hand painted color gradients to accentuate her look and definition.
Not to mention the new ball jointed skeleton

PS : your color schemes help me a lot

So, I got to thinking about fantasy skin tones and playing around with a photo editing app that lets you shift hues around (PicSay Pro, using the Hue effect). I found myself liking the light blue skin tone.

For the purpose of visualization, I tried this with some different photos, including the one from the web site showing the range of human skin tone shades available. I thought I'd share this and a couple others I thought came out well.

IMO, all of the blue shades look pretty good, and the slightly darker blue for lips and nips looks nice as well. Maybe a bit of this shade for the accent painting.

I think this tone could have some flexibility as well. An elf might be a frost elf, or just a lighter shade of night elf. Alternately, she could cover her ears and play as a sexy blue alien. The Elfie could cosplay as a pale Smurfette. (Yes, I've seen the post where somebody is trying to make an actual Smurfette doll.) Maybe some other possibilities.
