With the current exchange rate , international shipping and import duty and taxes the realdolls are about 50% above the US price. I have borrowed money to purchase my dolls. I am still in the honeymoon stage with my current dolls that I have received early this year. They are worth every penny IMHO. I am very, very pleased with my new dolls.

I think Irontech is doing a few things in this direction. Hopefully they do more. The more I see of Irontechs pornstar doll body, the more I like it. I wonder if other heads will be available.
I agree with you as far as using real girls.
I'm not sure anyone that's built a doll company knew how to do it either. They probably had a certain skill set, art design/molding/business acumen etc, a vision and pressed on. Could have worked a full time job, who knows? As they ran into obstacles they teamed up with people who believed in the vision and could bolster the effort where it was weak until they have a product to sell or show to more capital investors.
Realdoll has the Wicked line of dolls. I have the Samantha Saint Doll and I love it! She is a heart stopper....

Sight rollout was postponed until this weekend, the good thing is that the price increase will not occur until the new website goes live. So you got a couple more days to place your order at the lower prices

Looks like the base price on regular real doll selections is ~ $6,500..that's definitely a lot more than I would be willing to pay for a doll. But I am a cheapskate. The classic model is only $4,000 and not as expensive. But still about twice more than I would be willing to spend on a sex doll and why it was years before I seriously entertained the idea until the less expensive TPE dolls from China came out.

I just "built" a basic RD Body A, magnet face doll and the price was $5999. That is $500 more than previous list, about 9%-10% of an increase.

It looks like most things stayed at the current rate (for now) and there was a modest increase in the RD2 pricing. Considering the prices dropped last year, this really only brings us back in line with the normal pricing with a slight bump for 2018. Very glad to see they are still within reach for many people.

The Pre-configured RD2 BF Tanya went from $6,000 to $7,000 which is a thousand bucks ... an 17% increase.

Nothing wrong with the old website, IMO. The new website is
very slow but I do like how you can order any body with any face. I just cannot find any information about what they charge for shipping; it is not showing a shipping charge at checkout. Is shipping included now?

I guess they know the consumer of real doll products and the financials better then I . To me, given the direction of the rest of the market this seems the wrong direction. Maybe they want to sell less dolls.

Quite possibly true.
They have been swamped with orders for a long time now, and the wait times have been getting longer and longer.
This might alleviate the situation.
