The guy in the video just used plain old masking tape. I did as well. Just wrap it around the threads once. (Not too much) before seating in body. Wrap a piece of cloth around the threads, and use a pair of channel locks, and snug it down. I turned it 3x before it felt seated. spin the head on. it took about 8 turns.

If there is a weld blocking your way to seat that threaded rod, this wont help you entirely, until you can get it all fixed right.. The fix does work well though, My lady's head is more stable. She had a slight wobble, but this corrected it.
