Ahh, what a relaxing day!

Spent yesterday getting all my errands done so I could spend the day with Eve.

As I'm typing this, Eve is asleep in my lap. Ahh, she looks so peaceful.

Oops, hold on... she just woke up.

Ouch, she's crawled up on top of me and is looking at the screen while I type.

She'd like me to tell you about her new dress. It's dark blue with lovely patterns on the...

What's that, Eve?

Oh, yes... I spent the morning working on her hair. She likes her blond wig, but it never sat quite right, so I spent some time styling it, so now it... hold on.

Yes, Eve... I'm telling them about your hair.

I know you're excited about how nice you look today... I'm trying to tell everyone, but you keep jumping up and down on me so it's hard to type.

OK, OK... I get it. I'm typing too slowly and you want to show off your new duds.

She lifted her dress a bit to reveal she's wearing tights. (She's discovered that I have a fondness for tights.)

Wow, I wasn't expecting that... Heh heh, that's really sweet, Eve. That's a wonderful surprise.

Mrphh... Eve's playfully rubbing her foot against my cheek as I type.

I'm having a hard time concentrating right now.

Right now, I think I need to chase Eve around the house and tickle her feet.

Hee hee... Yes, Eve is capable of expressing a broad range of personalities through hair selection.

It's funny. Usually, I'll buy a range of wigs for variety. Inevitably, one wig will work and the rest will look "odd."

In the case of Eve, I tried a different approach:

1) I was careful to select wigs that matched her skin tone.

2) I also select clothing to complement her skin tone + a particular wig.

This has worked out really well, but Eve has a nicer wardrobe than I do.

Speaking of which— this afternoon, I ducked into the thrift shop between errands and scored some lovely outfits.

I found an elegant, ivory colored, knit turtleneck sweater dress with a built in robe tie belt. This will look stylish with Eve's ivory dancer tights.

Next, I found a black and white patterned Old Navy cocktail dress that straddles the line between modern kitsch and vintage swagger. I'm a little worried that the lining is all black, but I'm giving it a good soak right now. I figure if it stains, I'll fashion a pantyhose body stocking to protect Eve for the photo shoot, then donate the dress back to Goodwill.

Oh, and because Eve's got tights to protect her tootsies, I've started checking out shoes. I found some really cute trainers, but figured I'll hold off until I can score Eve some yoga pants and a nice running top to complete the look.

I did snatch up some adorable black patent leather mary janes. They look really cute on Eve!

Sigh, I wish I could get this giddy when I shop for my own clothes.

Unfortunately, no photos for the time being... The weather's been wreaking havoc with my migraines today, so at my earliest convenience I'm going to be supine in a very dark room.

Today, Eve tried on her new cocktail dress... Wow.

We had a lot of fun during the photo shoot today. Normally, the photo sessions are quiet, but now that I finally have all the stereo equipment hooked up, I could play music. What a difference that makes!

Eve was giggling as she posed. She'd start dancing or dashing off to another part of the room. I had trouble keeping up sometimes, but it was exciting to have so many ideas flowing at once... It has been a long time since I felt that rush of creativity.

There were a lot of cute photos, but I culled the collection based on images that would be interesting to process. Tonight, I played with color... Eve is a magnificent canvas!

When Eve dances, it brings a smile to my face!

Brrr... It's chilly in the house this morning!

If Eve had more than a couple vestigial silicone teeth in her mouth, they'd be chattering... Poor gal was as cold as a marble slab when I picked her up.

I swathed Eve in blankets and set about making some breakfast. Her eyes followed me as I awkwardly hopped around the kitchen. Damn floor tiles are like ice... I need to put on some socks.

I think I heard Eve giggling at me from under her mound of blankets.

Ahhh, coffee's ready! I eagerly wrapped both hands around the warm mug and raised it to my lips. Mmmm, I can feel my body thawing out.

While my breakfast sizzled on the stove, I decided to work on a glamorous portrait of Eve. The image evokes memories of elegant silver screen starlets from a bygone era... in stark contrast to the little blanket mummy who keeps playfully pressing her freezing cold feet against my bare back as I type this.

... Procrastinated a little by snuggling with Eve under the blankets and trying another color experiment. Probably get a similar effect with a tritone or posterize filter, but I wanted to see how far I could manually push all the colors towards red or blue before it started creating ridiculous artifacts.
