Xaioli broke her shoulder

Sad news peeps, but Little miss is in the wars again.

Just before bed she right shoulder failed. I was just repositioning her to get her ready for bed when it happened, and barely placed any force on the shoulder to rotate it forwards a little when the joint gave out. From what I can feel it seems the rotator joint at the top of the upper arm has failed, as the arm is loose, but the shoulder remains firm. She's resting comfortably now and I have contacted DS via PM to ask about replacement parts as this isnt one I could fix without them, at least not without a Frankenstein fix.

I'll keep this thread updated as things progress and document any fix.

I'm sorry to hear about her arm breakage, however I understand that the repairs are repairable.
Many of us with silicone dolls have already replaced joints at one time or another and I know it can be stressful thinking about her.

I have no doubt she will get back to full health as she is in very good hands, but this is sad news. I s'pose we all need to shake it off and get down to business... Karrot does anyway!

Pins and needles until you sew this up, Karrot! Tell John we are going to need those parts overnighted! Stat!

Update:

John has replied and things are moving forwards. Im out all day today so I will be making the exploratory incision tomorrow to get some pics for John so DS can supply the necessary parts.

This isnt my first broken bone rodeo, remember I redesigned her hip a while back, so when it happened, I was like 'Oh, oh no, you poor thing. Dont worry we'll get that sorted soon'

The silver lining here is that its the arm where the shoulder had loosened off and wouldnt hold a position 90' out to the side, so in repairing this I'll also fix that with just one incision.

I think this will be a fairly simple replacement part. DS engineering is well thought out.

Best wishes and good luck, and make sure she has enough anaesthetic. Probably removing her head will ensure she doesn't feel the pain
