I can really understand why you have such an interest in these dolls. They are amazing! And I think your photowork shows them as they truly are, which is good, because as much as we like the polished images, we also want to know what the dolls really look like, which, as said, is amazing!

Thanks Koen, these figures have been so much fun to collect and photograph especially now when I don't have a doll in the house. I'll be hopefully posting another brand new release near the end of the month when the release date is scheduled.

For now the next few photo sets will be of more custom Figma figures, starting with a unique take on Black Rock Shooter.

Today's Figma is another custom one based on Black Rock Shooter.

I've always liked Black Rock Shooter's head style and wanted to use it in a more mature body build, bright and vibrant clothing doesn't fit her look well. Using the torso from Megurine Luka maintains the polished black finish from her arms sleeves while giving her a more mature body profile. The music emblem was removed from the torso and will be replaced with something else once I find a good match. Finally adjusting her ponytails to a backswept look further adds to her mature styling despite the booty shorts.

Today's Figma is another custom one, this time based on Figma 028 Makina Hoshimura from Corpse Princess.

The head piece of Makina Hoshimura is so well sculpted with some killer expressions and detail. Adding it to the cardinal red torso from Irisviel gives her a more mature body style compared to the modest school girl outfit she normally comes with. The longer legs from an Izumi figure fit the hip joint's unique block-style shape without sacrificing range of movement and make her a little taller. Finally, adding the initial run exclusive handbag from Makina in red helps to keep come color consistency.

Today I have one last custom figure, based off Figma 086 Izumi Shizuno. I'll be adding another regular main line figure starting on the next post.

Most of the base body from Izumi is kept, only removing her bright red tie in exchange for a green crystal accessory on her neck section. The scarf from Rei Kuroki is then added to push her towards a winter theme, with the legs and waist belt from Luka to keep the overall color contrast going.

Today's Figma is the spunky heroine of Toushin Toshi, Mizuhara Hazuki. She comes with two face plates, rapier with sheathe, and the standard Figma accessories.

Been focusing on putting together custom figures and posting media for dolls, haven't been posting much here but I eventually get around to it when I have something new. The latest releases that I'll get to are the new Lancer and Jeanne Alter from Fate / Grand Order, they're already preordered and I'm just waiting for them to arrive.

Gosh, I wish I had the extra room to keep a whole bunch of these. They are really something else.

I'm getting close to the first year anniversary of collecting these figures, still surprised they've kept my interest compared to previous hobbies but these go so well with photography and my hobby of tinkering with the things I buy.

They're relatively cheap compared to owning a doll, my Figma collection is worth less than half the cost of my Boytoy doll thanks to buying cheap and collecting slowly, well after a period of going crazy and buying everything that looked interesting during the first few months. As for storage, they take up some good room but they have a nice place in my room for display.

The next set is currently unknown, I have a few variants on custom figures that were already posted but look even better now. If I don't get a newly released figure first then a new custom figure set will be posted, likely based on another Black Rock Shooter variation. One of them has a really nice booty worth showing off.

Today's Figma is another custom one this time a variant on another figure I put together, the Battle Angel.

The base body of Futayo Honda with it's polished appearance is used as the base, with the skirt portions removed to show off the toned body shape. The arms from Cryska are added to keep the polished look and keep color consistency going with the polished black, and thee boots from Shielder replace the originals to add a more armored and tough look to the lower body. The main body is finished off with the head and hands of White Rock Shooter, and finally the dual black swords are added to complete another great looking figure clad in black armor, a Vampire Assassin.

Today's Figma is a variant on a custom figure, based on Figma 116 BRS2035.

The idea here as always is to start with a unique head and build the figure around it. The head from Black Rock Shooter looks great with a tough body build and is easily added to the Angela Balzac body without any size or skin tone clashes. The weapon from White Rock Shooter matches with the heavy use of plain white coloring on the body suit, making a nice combo.
