Ok I still can't believe I bought a doll - and then another! - but anyway, here's my review. I hope it doesn't disappoint too many people (or Sheeana or Karlie) but well here goes.. it's incredible that it's been a whole year!
It started with a pretty steep learning curve: never had one before, didn't know anything about their durability or maneuverability...some damages to Sheeana as a result. Like smashing her hand against the headboard or smacking into the wall or doorway when moving her. She is also the pour prior to Karlie - there are significant differences in skin tone, quality and durability that Karlie has over Sheeana (sorry!).
Repairs needed to be done for both (major & minor procedures): Sheeana's neck got loose and I had to cut into the back of her neck to tighten the bolt. Karlie's neck was broken on arrival, but that was from shipping. For Sheeana, I've needed to fix/silpoxy multiple finger pokes, her taint, edges of her mouth, top of her foot. I am working on cosmetic breast surgery (skin got loose after using her tittie as a pillow), and I need to re-paint her lips. Both girls lost their eyelashes early on, but I did get new uppers for Sheeana. After 3 months, and near-daily use, Karlie has no damages. Her duracast hands & feet are truly a game changer for Abyss/Phoenix dolls.
If you are getting a doll from them, Get duracast! I was I could get duracast hands separately to backfit Sheeana.. Her skin has some flaking too - while Karlie's is still very smooth & more lifelike. Winner: Karlie, with the new silicon mix and duracast being the discriminators over her sister (sorry!)
Joint movement/ease: both bodies are very posable. Sheeana is still very flexible, although her neck is a little loose looking left/right (I just need to tighten the bolt just under the neck flaps). Winner: Draw
General appearance/fit & finish/skin tone: they are both amazing incredible works of art. Since they are both BT3s, the determination comes down to the new silicon skin vs prev pour.. Due to Sheeana flaking, and the amazing feel on Karlie, the winner: Karlie
Closing eyes vs regular eyes: I do like the closing eyes feature in the Sky face, but it's hard for Karlie to keep them still - her face isn't glued to her new skull, leaving room for the eyes/lids to move - Sheeana's face doesn't need to be glued, but then again I can't move her eyelids and her eyes can be difficult to move easily. Winner: To Be Determined once I re-affix her face to skull.
Gel butt vs regular ass: I thought Sheeana has an amazing ass - she still does, but once Karlie arrived, it's been gel all the way. No contest here. Winner: Karlie
And now the hardest category : who is the prettier one. Karlie... You are a gorgeous knockout babe, but the Star face... Is simply breathtaking. Sheeana is so beautiful. I swear she has a real presence behind those sultry green eyes. I am just drawn into her gaze each time I enter her room (sorry!)
