Excellent post Uncreative, I will certainly give the plastic wrap a try, theoretically i should be able slip the clothing on over the plastic and then just remove it really without even having to tuck it behind the clothing.. Never even thought about that.. ThanksUncreative wrote:One trick to get on really tight clothing is to use a plastic material like a thin plastic drop cloth cut and wrapped around that appendage. They cut away any that would show or as you expose an area. As long as it isn't cling wrap clothes will glide right over it and if you use some that is very think you should have problems with it showing seams under the clothes even if they are tight. Just use a couple strips of masking tape to anchor the ends to themselves. You may have to do a little nipping and tucking in a few spots like the knee, but it is a lot easier than trying to pull on tight jeans over silicone, but doesn't give the appearance of pantyhose and honestly getting pantyhose on a doll well (The crotch tucked up properly) isn't an easy trick either. You are right that powder is a mess unless you are putting something on her that is nearly the same color as the powder, so the powder does not show. Otherwise you have to wash her to dress her and you are right back at square one with sticky silicone. Another trick that will work if the garment is color-fast and if it won't show spotting or water streaks is to mist the body with water and things will slip on easier if it isn't a cloth that is really absorbent like cotton. An absorbent cloth will absorb the water as you slide it on and not slip on easily, but a synthetic fiber that isn't meant to be absorbent will slide pretty easily. This can be helpful at the hips and bum when you are trying to pull a tight skirt on that has a nylon lining that is sticking to the doll's skin.
I hear ya bud, getting full pantyhose on her especially around the crotch area is a huge pain in the ass..
