I've been looking for a male doll that isn't super expensive. Does anybody know of any companies that make these?

The only lady I know that made a plush male doll says she currently doesn't have time to make them anymore.

But maybe she will make them again in the future? They were $1900.00 USD. http://snugamate.com/

Their are a few TPE male dolls in the price range of $2000.00 USD.

This company makes a silicone male doll that is currently about $3000.00 USD. http://dsdoll.us/

The only other male dolls I know of cost around $6000.00

These prices are without shipping costs.

Many people make their own plush dolls.
For a snuggle guy you could use some nice pajamas. Make a skeleton out of PVC pipe and wire joints.
Wrap the skeleton with foam pool noodles, etc. If you don't want him as a bed snuggler use Jeans and a long sleeve shirt.
The head can be a fiberglass mannequin head or a softer vinyl stylist trainer head.

Should be able to make a decent doll under $150.00

He's not much of a "doll" but more of a 3D dakimakura. Kind-of an impulse buy I made... $178.00 from Japan. He's BiBiLabs' "cotton husband" and fits in size M/L men's shirts.

I have made a doll in the past for much cheaper, but it was very time consuming. Might give it another shot using this fella as reference (not a copy, but for size reference)

Why don't you just buy a zentai (morphsuit) and fill it with wadding?! They are much like that "cotton husband" and cost on eBay (depending on design) in cheapest version only about 10EUR.

I have had a few different fabric dolls over the years.

The current one is a custom made fabric/foam muscle suit costume over a foam mannequin core. Currently I am using a head from a silicone doll I own, but it is a little small in proportion to the body. I am still mulling over options to get it right.

He was not super inexpensive, but the overall look is pretty good and he is very light and maneuverable compared to silicone. Also, compared to dolls I have seen he is very big! The mannequin is around 6'2 and with the muscle suit on him I would say he would be 225-250 lbs irl. Perfect if you like guys big all over with lots of muscles.

I wouldn't mind seeing a picture. If you don't mind.

If you are into really hairy rugged men...

This was made from a Costco giant stuffed bear ($29.95), with the stuffing redistributed, an internal A-Frame support inserted in the legs made from an old pair of crutches, the head reduced in size and covered with a Harry Potter Dumbledore-type latex mask with the beard trimmed and darkened with a marks-a-lot
(from Walmart, reduced from $20 to $5 after Halloween) A pair of joke eyeballs intended to be dropped into someone's drink ($1). An old smooth finish salad plate mounted inside at crotch level allows any suction cup fake penis to be attached through an access hole...
