Actually, this doll is about 2 to 2 1/2 years old and has that normal brown tan skin tone that they were pushing and was really popular at that time. I started eye balling the natural skin tone dolls and realized I really love the natural skin tone lighter dolls than my "tan tone."

Unfortunately, there are no methods to lighten a TPE dolls skin I know of. So I purchased from the dollar tree this foundation and after mineral oil treatments, the doll is tacky so I started to apply it to the entire body. It takes about an 1 hour to apply and 2 - 3 foundation pallets which is about $3 to color the entire body.

It only comes off with make up remover or mineral oil. Add some baby powder and it blends right into the skin with a micro-fiber car wax applicator to make it lighter and even adds a nice texture look to the skin with a slight glow. It says it's pressed powder in the website description which would dry the doll out, but on the package it states it's a mineral based cream which doesn't seem to harm the skin going on six months so far (and it is in fact a cream texture.)

Sorry my camera is pretty poor as you can tell, but you get the idea

Wow, first of all let me say hi! I’m new to all this but I can say this is rapidly becoming my favourite place to be. Looking through this thread helped me to decide precisely what I needed in my life. Looking at all of the sheer gorgeousness has shown me I made the right choice. "she" has been in storage for at least half of the time since arriving Been bummed out about buying it. Not the money spent, just another unnecessary toy I really did not need. Plus, in all honesty I think this doll stuff is a competition for some. a fetish of sorts LOL.

Thanks. One thing I have come to appreciate about this forum is the honesty in responses. The range seems to run from those who see the novelty of ownership to the ones needing surrogate companionship. But I think everyone here wants to give the best advice they can. I guess it all comes down to howfar you like to indulge in fantasy. I would say I’m probably half way along that spectrum but we’ll see what happens.
At the moment I am very much awate of the artificiality that I am buying into. Maybe ownership will change that with time. Here’s to finding out!

Hi, I opted for #85 and light-tan skin. What I believe to be a stunning combination. The proof will be in a few days yet but I have high hopes.
