You can simply cut up a cheap "sausage style" 4 or 5 cylinder PVC airmat and fold the cylinder chambers into individual positions to form legs, arms, head etc. Long ago I tried to make a (also somewhat heatstretched) man doll from it as art.
This being was not meant as a sex doll, but airmat material is reasonably suited to hold body weight and thus certainly can be adapted for this.

My crazy concept is to expand on the leggy toy pillow doll and include arms and head and breasts. Make a 2D anime print sweater for the top cover. Then make the Pant cover.
