how do I create a new post

How do I create a post with the Green folder icon and the red icon next to the title?
When I click new topic, I could not see how to do that. When the post was created, it had the Manilla folder with no red icon.
I see other posts being create with the Green folder and red icon next to the title.

The colors of the icons depend on if you have read everything in that topic or not.
Green: There is something you haven't read. The red icon jumps to the first unread post. You can click the bigger green icon too.

If that isn't what you mean then please provide a screenshot.

The post on the top has a green folder icon and the red icon next to the title.
On my post the icon on the left is the manila folder with no red icon.

Okay. I just figured it out. Like you said, green folder with red icon when the post is unread.
It switches to the manila folder with no red icon after the post is read.
