BEWARE LOOKS LIKE A SCAM SITE!

Post by 4biddenartist »

general disclaimer for new doll enthusiasts;

BEWARE, if a doll looks nice and is under $800 its probably a scam. most dolls on scam sites are expensive dolls and there is no contact info only a way for them to contact you. RED FLAGS! Damn these scammers!
I think therefore,
I try not to.

The shipping weight is also a good giveaway, they show a doll in the photo that weighs 60 pounds yet the shipping weight listed is only 4 or 5 pounds. 99.9% chance your getting a blow-up doll.

By using this site before I bought a doll I avoided getting scammed on a doll.

And that pretty much sums it up.

Way back in 2008 when my revived interest in dolls led me to discover Teddy Babes, I didn't just immediately order one. I followed their link to TDF, read the various threads and saw how happy people were with them, checked out the various albums linked via the Doll Matrix to see if they really looked as good as in the website photos. I likewise emailed Eighth Wonder with numerous questions, which (at least back then) they were very quick to answer. So while I might've placed my order a little sooner had I not had to wait for my vacation payout, I still made damn sure that I'd be getting exactly what I was expecting. 8)

I admit, though, things may have been different had I been younger. I did fall victim to a minor mail-order porn scam in my early 20s, and while losing fifty bucks on a single tape with twnety brief scenes of people having vanilla sex in bathrooms instead of twenty tapes of golden shower scenes like the ad implied may bot seem like a big deal, it is when you're employed part-time and that fifty bucks is almost half a week's pay. :( So perhaps I'm just lucky that mid-priced dolls didn't become a thing until I was mature enough to not think with my libido...not to mention no longer being too hung up on my own romantic idealism to seriously consider buying one. :P

But still, having this forum to let me know I'd made the right choice was a big help, so that I could forget about anxiously worrying if I'd been ripped off and instead spend the final days of waiting for Caley to arrive purely in happy anticipation.

Click above to view my albums.

You never truly feel that another person loves you. You can only react to the way they behave towards you. And when I look in Caley's eyes and see that same bittersweet longing I feel for her, whatever part of my brain knows it's not real doesn't seem to care...

I have to say I have browsed many many different doll sites. some of them was a scam, and others were legit.
I am very glad I found this site before I purchased my first doll. It is great to see info from real owners, and interaction from the manufacturers and other legit re sellers.

I signed up to kanojo toys on May 14. tried to log in today and they do not recognize my user name. Strange. I received the welcome email with my user name and pass.
Not sure what to think about this. I have contacted them. I've had a 50/50 experience with them so far but thought I wuld see if the experience is better. I hope I am not getting scammed. Have been sending them traffic from a converting shop.

I might be a unicorn here because I’ve used all the sources that are warned about.
But haven’t had a whole lot of problems, had some but they were always corrected buy the seller.
The only real problem was one doll in particular that seemed to prematurely dry out and started to get a scaly /crusty feel. That doll was from Amazon (which I will agree, is NOT a reliable source).

I didn't buy from tdf approved vendor but I did get a hold of jinsan from tdf to find out if other vendors were approved to get my doll a few hundred cheaper. i almost bought a doll on ebay but after reading the info on tdf it taught me a lot about how this industry works. And the problem with knock off dolls is the tpe can be unhealthy. And if you do get a authentic doll to much cheaper there is a chance its a doll that might of been defective that was sent back and maybe they fixed it and resold it as refurbished doll but say its brand new. In general you are going to get what you pay for. if you can get it a few hundred cheaper thats about as good as deal your going to get for authentic doll. If you get it 500- 1000 cheaper its probably a knock off or refurbished doll that someone else probably used. I been studying this industry for last 6 months and tdf has the best knowledge about this industry. One thing i do know is the tdf vendors do fix any problem the buyers have and go out of their way to make sure the customer is happy. So i understand now why people generally buy from tdf approved vendor. Its peace of mind more then anything and it is pretty risky to gamble on a vendor thats not tdf approved imo. Cause i do see complaints and problems that occur cause these dolls are being shipped from china to another country. So imo a good vendor that takes care of problems is better to buy from them gambling on another vendor over a few bucks.

I've bought a lot of pocket pussies back in the day from kanojotoys. No bad experiences purchasing those, at least.
