Named after thirty-percent of all strippers ever, Candy is a small and light-weight doll that is both buxom and beautiful. Indeed, Candy is so small and light-weight that a person could easily hold her in one hand for extended periods of time. I have no idea why one would do such a thing, just thought I would mention it.
As I first removed her from her box, my initial impression of Candy was that she felt like a good, thick piece of silicone. I know that is not exactly titillating language and certainly no way to talk about a lady, but considering how much you are spending, it's nice to have that “this is a solid and well-built whatever-thing” moment.
Continuing this theme of “horrible ways to describe a woman,” Candy can best be described as having “good heft.” Indeed, to compare her to the similarly proportioned Becky doll, Candy is the taller of the two by 20%, but weighs over 50% more than Becky. It may seem like an odd distinction to make, but in practice the difference becomes immediately apparent when you grab a hold of her thick thighs and soft-yet-firm waist. To use less words: Candy is more woman than waif.
Her breasts, however, do feel odd. It is as though there is a different material being used (perhaps simply pockets of air) under the skin that makes them a little softer than the rest of the doll. It is by no means an unpleasant effect, just unexpected.
As a newbie, I will say with great trepidation that Candy seems to use wires in place of a skeleton. While you cannot truly pose her--Candy's waist bends like a reed--the wires keep her from being “floppy” which was one of my early concerns. This also means that she is supremely flexible which, in turn, makes her very easy to use.
When put to use in her official capacity, Candy is fantastic. Perhaps it is the silicone, but she clearly enjoys an advantage over the TPE inserts used by Miranda and Celine. At the same time, she isn't as rough as a dual-layered sleeve.
As alluded to earlier, her small size means that her body must expand to make room for anything may be inserted, and this became her main attraction for me. There is more than enough silicone to keep the shape of the object obfuscated, but it is still very visible as it moves towards her chest and away again. It was a surprising feature and somewhat um... empowering. Moving on!
Hopefully I'll have some pictures that will do her justice so I'll skip over her looks. However, I will say that she looks far more cute (and way less like a Victorian-era ghost) than the pictures currently found on BD's website.
Ultimately she was an excellent purchase. She has the sort of usability that lets you grab her up at a moments notice and will happily sit on your lap as you peruse the internet. She fills the gap between a decent sleeve and a full-sized doll nicely and is, in a word, fun.
