Why would someone define themselves in relation to a doll? I don't know, katiesBoyfriend. Why would someone do that?

A doll is an inanimate object. Why would someone want to become one?

Lol. Good example... I like that!

Just to play devils advocate a little further... I'm assuming 'katie' is a doll. If that's the case then you are saying you're the 'boyfriend' of an inanimate object? Isn't that the same as someone being a cars boyfriend? Or boyfriend to a rock?
