Tattoos on TPE dolls

Post by DollAfficionado »

Since TPE dolls have a tendency to absorb color easily, I wonder if this trait of the TPE could be utilized to apply tattoos to the doll in a controlled manner. For example, a high quality temporary tattoo added to the abdomen, back, arm, or leg. Of course, the "temporary" tattoo should be considered permanent for this particular use.

Has anyone here tried this with their TPE doll?

BeautifulDolls,

Has this ever been attempted by the TPE doll creators?

Maybe try this as just a small ankle tattoo at first to see if it works?

Alex77 is quite knowledgeable about this TPE material and sports a very attractive tattoo on his lady. http://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtopi ... 42&t=51497

Samurai has tattoos on his doll: one on her back and one on her left thigh. http://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtopi ... 4&start=15

These look good to me.

I have tattoo's on my arms (lots of them) i can't see it working on tpe, at least no they same way there are put on humans, the needle used might tear the tpe and the ink would probably go everywhere, The tattos i use are cheap one's you just place the tattoo on the tpe lightly dab with a wet sponge then peel back the paper and the tat, transfers from the paper to the tpe, lightly dab again with a dry cloth leave for a few minutes and its done,They come of when she has a bath or you can just wipe with a wet sponge again to remove. I don't think i would like a permenat tat on the doll, as i like to change things around every now and again, but thats just me.

However would be interesting to see if this could be done though.

Thank you for the links and advice. Those press-on temporary tattoos are what I was thinking about trying.

Samurai & alex77,

The tattoos looked like they transferred to the TPE very well.

If left alone, how long would the tattoo last on the doll?

If the tattoo comes into contact with a bed sheet or clothing, would the tattoo try to "bleed away" into the clothing, or is the tattoo pretty well set into the TPE until you actively try to remove it?

That's very likely indeed, the way the ink stays in a humans flesh is because the body encapsulates the ink as a foreign matter, which is why the color changes a little bit after it is healed.
With TPE, there's no encapsulation going on, so it would probably spread itself.

Basicly the temp tattoo's just transfer from the paper which they are supplied on, onto the tpe, its difficult to explain, Its like the tattoo is just resting on the surface of the TPE, it does "dry in" to an exctent and stay's there, but it will, "in parts" come off when in contact with bedsheets or clothes, you can peel is of with your finger or even rub gentle and it will come of and does not "bleed"

Best way i can describe it is, If you got sunburn, when your skin peels this is what its like when one of these tat's start to peel also, is kind of the same effect. You peel the dead skin of, you peel the tattoo of the same way, and nothing is left on the TPE or silicone, you would never know a tattoo had been applied.

Hope this helps..

Samurai,

That helps a lot with what to expect.

I might still use the temporary tattoos, but thanks to your experience, I will probably just use 1 or 2 small ones at a time. I thought about putting a larger dragon tattoo on her upper back near the shoulder; however, this part of the body will be in constant contact with the custom bed /hiding place I am making for her. Since the doll will be laying on her back most of the time, it sounds like it would be best to limit tattoos to the front side the doll and to areas of the body where clothing will not fit too tightly over.

One alternative I might try are those fake tattoo sleeves. I don't like to use them on myself; however, they might work well for a TPE doll. These sleeves do fit tightly, so I could potentially see some of the color transferring to the TPE skin. I believe that I have a sleeve leftover that I never used on a previous doll, so I try this experiment & monitor the skin every few hours to see if the color starts transferring.

Samurai did a very detail explanation on this temporary tattoo application, so I will not elaborate further.

I bought few types of tattoo design. Initially I too worried it might stained onto her body and so I tried on a piece of TPE skin with this lips design and monitored for a week plus.

It stayed very well on TPE for the first week. After that, when its getting dried up, edges started to curl. Apply water onto it and stick on well again. As Samurai said, just wash with water and it'll just came off easily. No stain or mark left.

Temporary tattoo is merely ink printed on thin plastic and thus not in contact with TPE directly. That's why it won't stain.

The "Rose" that I used for photography has one disadvantage.

Since only colored portion has thin backing, it simply means those small leaves can curl and peel off easily. Some of it disappeared after the first bath and the whole thing gone during the second bath within a week. Anyway, it doesn't matter, its cheap (@USD0.35/piece) and it did served the purpose

If you want a permanent tattoo, this might be the kind you are looking for :haha4:

And don't expect these temporary tattoos stay forever. It can only stay on human body for less than two week.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

So it sounds like 1-piece solid tattoos will be the longest-lasting relatively speaking. And those with too many individual pieces or those with long "arms" hanging off of them will be the shortest-lasting.

Overall, they seem relatively cheap & can add an extra dimension to your doll sessions. I imagine that I will limit temporary tattoo use to 2 or 3 of them at a time in strategically placed positions.

I have attempted use of several of these tattoos on various parts of my TPE doll's body. The tattoos will not stay on very long if they are applied to any area that receives friction either from clothing or body contact/movement during sex. These temporary tattoos will however last a long time if they are placed in locations where friction is rarely applied. For example, the temporary tattoo that I applied on my doll's upper chest above her tit is still present after a month of use. A facial tattoo would probably last a long time as well as long as your doll does not lay her face straight down in a pillow during sex. Anywhere on the back side of the doll should be avoided completely, and anywhere on the front side of the doll's abdomen/groin area will probably not make for a long lasting tattoo. The front and sides of arms and legs are not too bad, but you should consider how your doll is manipulated during play in order to determine how long the temp tattoos will last.
