Great idea with the wool, but where in US can I buy it locally?
Is there a similar material that works?

I agree it would be a great new feature on dolls if they could make the eyelids to open and close.timetraveler1 wrote:thanks for posting the closing eye effect , if the eye lid color is off a person could maybe use make up on it to match it closer to the dolls skin color , and even on top of that add a little eye shadow lightly over the skin color make up on the eye shadow !! thanks for sharing the pics and info . "GREAT JOB !!" DOLL COMPANIES SHOULD OFFER EYE LIDS LIKE THIS ON THEIR DOLLS !

Really interesting to save money. With transparent glue perhaps it is better?Mr Franz wrote:Did my own variation of the mohair pubes idea here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=99785
White glue like Elmer's is transparent when it dries, but the way I did it, it doesn't show anyway.vikwey wrote:Really interesting to save money. With transparent glue perhaps it is better?Mr Franz wrote:Did my own variation of the mohair pubes idea here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=99785
Great work! I know this is an old thread, so has anyone come up with something better for eyelids?Samurai wrote:Eyelids Mods
Easy realy,
Ok so first you need to remove the top eyelash from yourdoll < Might be a bit painfull eric.
What you need is some felt, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/18-x-18-Sheet ... our%09Wine
Some PVA glue, pencil and scissors
Best to show some pics easier to explain..........
I have some spare eyes, so i used one of these as a template.
Mark the shape of an eye on the BACK of the felt with a pencil, then cut the eye shape with the scissors, leave the pencil mark on the back of the felt as you want it a bit bigger than the eye for full coverage.
Use a small amount of glue and cover one edge of the felt.
Then apply an eyelash to the glue, press down to make sure it sticks well and leave for2- 3 hours to dry.
