Especially since she's clothed, you can't see any stress on the silicone or the inner foam cores, etc.
I've got a loose-jointed DS163 that gravity can easily cause her to try to take an unsafe pose if you let her.
Love your mods MannyCan. I've got my DS insert glued in which I'm fairly happy with, but it's not the greatest. It's far too tight in certain positions.

I'm actually planning to get a loose joint doll myself.WaffleAnomaly wrote:I've got a loose-jointed DS163 that gravity can easily cause her to try to take an unsafe pose if you let her.
Would you say your loose joint DS163 is as flexible as the 145 in the picture I posted earlier?
(particularly in regards to knee and thigh bending)

Hmm, probably not that flexible with the knees. Mine was manufactured in '17 I believe before the evo's released.M_K_ wrote:I'm actually planning to get a loose joint doll myself.WaffleAnomaly wrote:I've got a loose-jointed DS163 that gravity can easily cause her to try to take an unsafe pose if you let her.

"Unsafe"? Can you elaborate? What kind of pose? Would the doll break? If so, why?WaffleAnomaly wrote:Keep in mind just because a photograph shows a certain pose doesn't mean it's actually safe usage for the doll.

She has loose joints, so gravity can easily let her exceed her suggested maximum limits on joint angles and stuff.HSP_960 wrote:"Unsafe"? Can you elaborate? What kind of pose? Would the doll break? If so, why?
Might tear the silicone, might tear the inner foam core, might de-laminate the silicone from the foam core.
Almost all doll skeleton's don't have mechanical restrictors to prevent you from exceeding the "safety" limits of movement.
It's not really anything to worry about in day to day life though.

I was shocked by that.
She can express smile in different degrees.
So cute!
I love that product.
How soon is she on market? Desperate to know.

I just found out about the Summit series a few hours ago.MannyCan wrote:I wonder how the new Summit Skeleton is. To bad they don't offer detachable head options for her. I like the AOI also. Darn always want to have it both ways.
I've never thought I'd be fascinated or excited about hands and feet before...
They just released this video earlier today, and it doesn't show much of the skeleton, but what it does show is pretty damn amazing.

Finally, a manufacturer does it right.
I would no longer buy a doll without artificial hands.
I've been waiting forever for SMDoll to finally go this way.
There are no do-overs, no second chances to make things right if you frak 'em up the first time.
Not in this life, anyway.
Like I said, you make your choices and you live with them. And in the end you are those choices.''
