New WickedRealDoll on the way

Hi,

I've been surfing the forums for several month and have been thinking about getting a doll again.
I've owned a 4woods doll a year back, but sold her as I moved to a new place and ever since, I wanted to get a doll again.

At first I look at the 4woods doll, as I knew them already and I had been quite impressed with the quality. But after some thinking, I realized, that I had to get one from a different manufacturer. So I went through the process of looking at all the dolls and compared their features. When I came across the WickedRealDoll, I was hooked. In my opinion, they are the most beautiful and realistic dolls out there (IMHO).

But it took me two more weeks of thinking and comparing those to all other dolls I had considered, but I did not change my mind and a few days back I ordered my WickedRealDoll.
It is a Kaylani, but I have not settled on a name for her. Maybe someone might assist in naming her, when she arrives and I'm able to post the first photos.
I hope the 5 week waiting time is going to fly by.

If it were me, I'd still call her Kaylani.

I hope the 5 week waiting time is going to fly by.

I considered keeping Kaylani as her name, but I'm a bit unsure, if it might not be too creepy.

I hope time will pass by quickly, at least it'll seem that way when she arrives

Congratulations on the order, as a Kaylani doll owner, I can safely say, you won't be disappointed with her!

Personally, I changed my dolls name to Kayla, a variation of the name, to "separate" her from the Kaylani character, but still keep a little bit.
I don't see her as a pornstar duplicate, but just as any other girl-doll, with her own personality.

Just as others have said I would leave Kaylani since it is modeled from Kaylani. I never changed Jessica Drakes name on my Wicked Doll. However, with that being said It's your doll you name her whatever your heart desires.

Once again congrats on your purchase I'm sure you will be very happy

you're so right, she is a stunner and I hope I'll be able to take some nice photos once she's here.
I think I may have settled with naming her Kay, but I'll have check, if she's ok with that

Sadly shipping to Germany and all the customs crap takes a lot of time, but I hope that she will arrive around the 21st of November. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'm sure you'll be really please with her when she arrives. The Wicked dolls are out of this world in my opinion. I've had my Alektra Wicked Realdoll for nearly 18 months now and I still look and admire her everyday.

They are just stunning dolls.

After looking at many, i think that wickedreaddoll are more realist but have lost perfection and beauty on RD2, exiting perfect shape, that very few girl have indeed

Particularly for her back, body and shoulders, they are more close to common women than perfect model women

Just my opinion

Wonder is perfect model girl would accept to have their realdoll, must be more difficult than pornstars

Good luck with your girl and don't forget pictures

Congratulations umbriel1 a great choice.

As you know dolls assume their own character. Whatever name you give her it'll be suitable to her own charisma.

I'm looking forward to any pics you post and yeah five weeks is very quick for delivery but a lifetime to wait!As narcissus says, hanging out here may help it go a bit quicker though.

Thanks for the nice welcome.

Reading through the forum helps a little bit, but on the other hand it makes the wait a little bit harder. Reading all the stories about the dolls is a great time killer, but it just makes me realize, that my doll has not arrived yet.

5 weeks is pretty quick, but I've paid for the express option at Abyss, otherwise it would have been a lot longer.

I also started to take a lot of pictures with my camera (Nikon D5000) again and realized, that I needed to get some stuff, as the pictures did not turn out as I wanted them too.
You'll be seeing a lot of pictures once my Kay arrives.

Did you go shopping for clothes before your dolls arrived or afterwards? Abyss gives measurements on the wicked doll website, but I'm unsure, if I can already buy some clothes, which will fit afterwards just based on the measurements.

Congrats on the new woman in your life! and if I may offer $0.10 of free advice....camera "Stuff" isn't what makes good pictures. An experieced photographer can shoot an award winning shot with a 40 year old Kodak instamatic if he wanted to.

Take that Nikon, as is, and start shooting things. ANY things. Bowls of fruit, flowers, your lazy no-account dog. Experiment with lighting, set up and composition until you start getting the results you like, that's the main advantage of digital photography: you can shoot all day without having to worry about running out of film. 90% of good model phptography is set up. That's the advantage of dolls: They'll hold a pose as long as you want and have the patience of Job.

But you will of course get a lot better quality of image with your camera. As for the clothes, if you feel the burning desire to buy then that's ok, but I definately wouldn't go too mad until you've tried fitting them and seeing what works best for you.

That's a great idea to get the express delivery.

Five weeks is a very short waitng time. feel free to aks anything you don't know or understand.

@1jayjay: what kind of equipment do you use for your photo shoots? i just love the photos you took of Misty.

I was thinking of getting a decent flash and a tripod for the cam, as I will need those in the future anyways.
Do you have any tips of taking good photos of a doll?
