She arrived safely, all 91 pounds

Post by AtPeace »

Hello all, my WMDoll arrived. I am very pleased with its quality and texture. I was shocked when she was put on the scale as she weighed 90.4 pounds. The data and measurement tab at Rosemary Doll said the weight should be 83. All said and done, I like the advanced S-TPE, feet and hands look real good, gorgeous face and OMG breasts. 5'9" D Cup.

The weight posted may not have included head, if head choice is an option. I ran into this on my manufacturer's website.

That aside, Congrats! on your new arrival!!! Also, on your new free "gym membership."

Yay, another head 51 to keep my Sophia company on here! Congratulations on your new gal and yes, stated bod weights traditionally don't include the head which can be another 2kg - 3kg, then if you add gel boobs the weight can creep up. Looks like the factory did a nice job of the body shading which they started doing early last year I think and adds another layer of realism, can't wait to see more pics of your new gal ☺️

Heavy, but nice!
I apologise for any late responses to users trying to communicate with me, as a certain Mod has decided he doesn't like how I talked in a particular post then decided to restrict me so I can post nothing without his permission. If I am banned for good, then best wishes to those I, and Aran, have met. May your futures with your dolls be good ones.

Be careful! When I worked at UPS, we were required to get help with any package over 75lbs. At her weight it's very easy to injure yourself, or damage the doll. Plan her moves carefully.

A back brace/support will be the best $15-20 you'll spend towards your life with your doll.

It's what I use at work to unload all freight boxes, including the "team lift" ones you are referring to.

My Isa is a couple of handfuls for me and I'm in good shape, she's a little over 80 lbs. We don't spend a lot of time dancing. 😁

I respectfully disagree. We were STRONGLY discouraged from using back support belts at UPS. Prolonged use makes your back and abdomen muscles weaker, and have a harder time supporting your weight. Eventually you'll lift or move something without the belt and hurt yourself. Considering how rabidly paranoid UPS management was over avoiding the legal penalties associated with workplace injuries, if they made us avoid back belts, there had to be a good reason.
Also, I worked there for 20 years without a back injury. Not everyone will have my experience, but I can only say what worked for me.

Funny how companies can differ. The one I work for STRONGLY encourages us to wear them, because they don't want to be responsible for back injuries. Since I only wear it one or two days a week unloading trucks and I'm over 60, I'll take my chances if the "prolonged" usage thing carries any weight (accidental pun).

It just goes to show you....it seems like there is ALWAYS conflicting thoughts, theories and data and you can NEVER get total agreement on almost ANY issue. :D

Ironically, on this we do agree. :)
It also sounds like in your situation, the support belt is more useful than not. UPS had mostly guys in their 20's who rarely stayed there longer than five years. It wouldn't surprise me to know UPS was more cynical about employee health than most companies.
