Clothing store/brand recommendations

Post by siriusenvy13 »

Hello everyone,

I've had my doll for a few months now but have yet to buy any clothes for her at all. Im super indecisive on anything specific. As a reference I have an Irontech 162cm S20 Suki model. Any recommendations for stores or brands as mentioned would be very much appreciated.

Many thanks in advance!

I use shein.com almost exclusively. You can find clothes their for $3-5. I find it especially helpful when trying to figure out what size fits best on the doll. I look for a top and a bottom that is on clearance for $2-3, and I buy multiple sizes, so I can narrow down which size fits best.

Never tried SHEIN but heard many good things about it from forum members.

For my dolls, I shop for them at thrift stores. Just have a good sense on the size you’re looking for. Usually pretty cheap and can see it first hand.

Cheers!

Another huge vote for SHEIN. It has become my Isabella's new favorite go-to place! Very-inexpensive (fortunately, she's not a high-maintenance gal that demands the pricey, finest designer-label things) and has some pretty, elegant-looking clothing. Because they have good USA-distribution, most deliveries come to us in about a week. We also buy some miscellaneous items on amazon, too, since we are Prime members and get fast, free shipping.

MISCELLANEOUS NOTE: SHEIN also has a good selection of Petite clothing. This can be helpful, especially when a regular women's size XXS or XS won't exactly fit correctly, according to your gal's measurements (which you should become intimately-familiar with). I've totally had to gain way more working-knowledge about women's clothing than I ever envisioned over the last couple of months. :D

So far, our shopping recap (to show the above comments):
glasses: SHEIN (2).
necklace: SHEIN.
wigs: SHEIN (2), amazon (1).
bras: SHEIN (1), ebay (1).
chemise/nightie: amazon (1), Nordstrom (1).
panties: amazon (1), ebay (1).
dress: SHEIN.
socks: amazon (6-pack).
slippers: amazon.
fleece blankets: amazon (2), Coeros (2).

I’ve used Shein and Temu, both inexpensive and eye-catching clothes. Not sure they’d hold up for serious human use, but fine for our synthetic ladies.

When I want quality clothing, I hit Macy’s ‘Last Act’ clearance racks. Well made name-brand clothing at hefty discounts, usually 75-90 percent off. Some of their stores have a section called ‘Backstage,’ where heavy discounts and slightly lower quality goods are offered. I’ve grabbed some bargains there, though it’s hit or miss.

Many folks suggest thrift shops or secondhand clothing stores, Goodwill, etc, but I don’t have one anywhere near me.
