This thread is inspired by Wight's Ginevra says Hi! 145 A face 1. I like seeing dolls with art, or doll photos imitating/inspired by famous artworks. So the idea of this thread is:
Post your doll with an artwork.
Post a doll photo imitating/inspired by a famous artwork.
Artwork can be paintings, sculpture, posters....
I'll make a start with an example: Jennifer and Mystique with the poster from the movie Metropolis.

PS I know what it's like for fledgling threads in the busy Metropolis of TDF. If it does sink without a trace, and I don't forget, I might add (with permission) appropriate stuff I see in other threads here.
Great idea for a thread HtS. Good start with your gals and that Metropolis poster; it's an Art Deco classic.
Jantra, I always love seeing one of your girls next to one of DCs paintings; they bring each other to life somehow.
Here's Patience cheering a TD during a game. The art print is "American Cheese" by a Wisconsin artist named CJ Conner.

Love that Metropolis poster! My entire digs qualifies as a mancave, but most of the bedroom is dedicated to my dolls' wardrobe and makeup. My hobby room multitasks for scale modeling, doll care, and guitar maintenance. It's also where I rotate my collection of pilot and aircrew autographed WWII aviation art depending largely on what model(s) I'm working on. Here's Hadleigh in her cherry drop lingerie from AdoreMe with four of my Mustang prints in the background. At left (above) "One Man Air Force" by Wade Meyers and (below) "Deadly Duo" by Harley Copic. At right (above) "Hot Pursuit" by Nicholas Trudgian and (below) "Ramrod, Outward Bound" by John Shaw.
On a more feminine note, I absolutely fell head over heels for this painting of Marilyn Monroe. It's displayed above my dolls' vanity in the bedroom. I just sleep in there- like most of the place it actually belongs to my cat and the dolls.
Hadleigh is a fair-skinned WM163C/#188, Harper (#124) is a medium toned WM164D, Kendall is a fair-skinned 163C/#398. All via RLSD.
Love Brigitte Helm as Maria and especially False Maria in Metropolis!
Here's Ginevra with Willem de Kooning's Woman5. She also trains drawing and design; at first she did those girly vignettes, but has since got a hang for art.

Most of the artwork in my house (apart from dolls) are framed posters that I bought from AllPosters.com (doesn't exist anymore.) A lot of them I bought when I moved into my first 1-bed flat, well over 10 years ago (previously I'd be living in a bedsit ... I had posters but they weren't framed.) Like these two. I bought them mainly because I really liked the colours and the nice happy girls.
