Hi all. So after a few months of extensive research I had decided on the WM 158 with 398 and 266 head. I have spoken to Annie’s Dolls and was gonna use them. All I needed was my tax return done and boom order. Sigh

Just got my taxes back and since I’m higher tax bracket I got less back. Not enough to order my future gf. I have credit cards but just got them all paid down last year and don’t want to start that again. Especially as my credit score went up and I have no debt. I think I’ll be in a better financial place this summer so that’s my plan. Try to save. Stay on budget. And dream of my girl.

Has this hobby been financially hard on anyone. I have compared to “dating” and going out etc and I see the benefit in being a doll owner. If I took all the money I spent on escorts I could own 3 dolls now lol. Anyone. I’m gonna stuck around. And save save save

Best plan for sure. The most enjoyable things in life come alongside the knowledge that they're bought and paid for, using money you've worked hard to save - and not money borrowed from a bank or credit card company. Well done on being so responsible - it will make the eventual arrival of your new honey all that more special. And although I totally get gogdoll's tip about the Kimber - my advice would be to wait until you can afford what you really want. There's nothing worse in life than buyer's regret - settling for second best when your head knows that a few more months will get you 'the one'. Best wishes from the UK.

I'm not rich by any means. Divorce made sure of that and I never paid a penny on escourts (I wish I had now instead of marriage). So it's actually been quite hard for me to afford the doll I've ordered as it's taken a real chunk out of my available cash. However, I looked over the costs of my female relationships to the cost of my doll and it is almost literally nothing compared, so after years of thought and saving (yes saving is key), I made the plunge.

Still waiting, but I'm supremely confident of my purchase. And if I'm wrong then I'm wrong. My decision has been made.

Finn13-A big amen here as to the 158D girl and the 266 head...one of my favorite heads. One of my first girls was the 158D and she remains my favorite. What you've chosen is a great combination. Maybe this 158D with the #122 head will get you drooling

Some Vendors use PayPal or PayPal credit like RLSD doesn’t effect your credit score. Some have a layaway plan.

It sounds like you're on the right track. It's great that you are concerned about being debt free, and are willing to work and save for something.

Since it was a down market last year, and I did some tax loss harvesting, I was also looking forward to getting an income tax refund for the first time in about 10 years. But the ex-wife lost her job (part of her downward spiral that I need to detail on here someday), was given 6 months severance, and started a new job, which meant she dramatically underpaid in taxes. I still have to file with her, so I'm on the hook for most of this shortage.

And yes, the cost of my doll was a small fraction of what I'm about to pay out to her as part of our divorce settlement.

If you have little money I would think very carefully about the right doll! Don't be fooled by the pretty pictures here with all due respect. I bought the 166C because of the beautiful look but had never heard about LHP back then!! I used her 1/2 year and then bought the 162F. Only then did I realize how bad the LHP of the 166C was and one day I just cut her open and threw her in the garbage. The 162F is way better for doggy and I just LOVE her! I have a "lot of money" and can easily do something like that without regret. But considering what you describe in your post, I want to share with you my experience. Please don't buy on impulse.

Hey there Finn. I think saving up and then spending will make you really appreciate her more. But rest assured that everything you then spend on her will be money well spent. Every outfit, every piece of jewellery, all the makeup and the rest, it'll never get old or thrown away or uncared for. If you have any possibility of visiting a showroom to see them in real life that would be my advice. I was very lucky to be able to do that here in Germany and it really, really helped.

And yes, they look even better in real life, trust me.

I know you what you mean. Plans for a second doll with me have been put on hold as well, due to finances
But I did save up and worked extra shifts for about half a year to save up for my WMDoll 155L and she's worth it.

Above advice of choosing the correct doll is absolutely spot on. Try to balance: Desire, Weight, LHP and practicality and you'll get the perfect playmate.

I also might like to ad, there might be a learning curve and some strange buyers remorse the first few months you have here. Some suffer from this.
Getting to learn how to pose her, carry her and cleaning her might feel like they mar your enjoyment at first, but that'll soon pass when you get the hang of her.
On the other hand, you also might just have an amazing honeymoon period, that's spectacular and worry free.

Hope everything works out for you and you'll soon have the dolly of your dreams.

I have an idea that might help. I've been using a website/service called Digit for about five years now, without any issues or red flags. The way it works is you hook it up to your bank account (I know, yikes!) and it takes out money to save on a regular basis, based on your spending patterns and what bills you have coming up. It's free for six months and then they charge $5 a month. You can pause it, you can set it not to remove anything if your bank account is below a certain amount, and many other things. Mine will take anything from a few dollars to $10 to closer to $20 if I'm really flush (lol). It's a painless and totally passive way of saving, and it's definitely made it possible for me and the fam to do things we couldn't have otherwise.

Their site is digit (dot) co (I'm not sure if it's okay to link it here). If you are interested, do your own research, but here is a nice article from Forbes to get you started. (It looks like you can do investing stuff with it too but I have never bothered.)
