Considering Purchase of Game Lady Doll Ellie 166C

Post by StarCrossedLovers »

Hello, I am Considering Purchase of Game Lady Doll Ellie 166C.

I couldn't find any official photos of Ellie in this configuration from GLD / Silicon Lovers and so I created a photoshop, interesting to see her in 166.

I will likely be ordering her from Silicon Lovers this week.

only photos besides promo photos ive seen are these bad factory photos of her theres a review on pornhub but it was 168 model with a wig not implanted hair search for "168 gamelady" . the 166 is great light weight doll downside is that besides the breast her body is pretty hard but id take the light weight over softness. idk if the forearm tattoo is a premium add on or its free so idk might want to ask when placing order.

This doll is on my list. In fact, I may purchase her sooner than later. Personally, I think it helps me that I know very little about her since she has a very simple look to her that I simply adore. Dolls like this one are really cool because they're essentially a model to which one can default and so bypass building some abstract dream girl (which is also cool). I hope you get her soon so you can be the one who posts pics for other potential buyers who appreciate her beauty.

Gamelady dolls are modeled after video game characters. This model is supposed to resemble a main character from the Playstation game "The Last of Us" and it's sequel. I personally don't see too much of a resemblance compared to some of the other Gamelady dolls (this one might look the least like the actual video game for better or worse depending on your preference), so I do think you could imagine whomever you wish with this one.

mama and ellie were the first two heads GLD made so pretty sure they were testing the waters but the mama doll really does look like Margaret Qualley from deaths stranding while the ellie doll does stray from the original but theyve hit their strive when it comes to accuracy just look at the new quiet head they released.

She definitely has that 'girl next door' look. She also emits a hapa or even quapa vibe in terms of ethnicity. This is a rare moment when I might agree to the adage "ignorance is bliss." I'm beginning to wonder if I can change my layaway order, lol.

I would not have seen that if not for your post, but it's a great looking doll regardless. I will point out that there could easily be all kinds of legal drama Game Lady could be avoiding as TLoU had a legal issue with their character looking too much like Ellen Page, who was in a different game at around that time (there are also all kinds of legal precedents in Hollywood about likeness usage because of a Back to the Future II legal drama). Not to mention Ellen Page is now Elliot, and as Elliot there have been even more legal issues revolving around 'dead naming' and retroactively changing movie credits to reflect the new gender identity.

It would be understandable if they were skirting under the radar, but then I don't know how this works and if likenesses are a legal problem for this kind of thing. :?

More likely it was just a design decision.

I, for one, thank all kinds of goodness that the Ellie doll looks nothing like Ellen Page. That thought never occurred to me. I did, however, see the legal drama involving the former Ms. Page and the LoA developers (thanks to your post), which brought me to the earlier part of the Ellie character's history...and yeah 8O , I must concur she does look a bit like her. The doll, on the other hand, (as I've opined) looks like a simple girl-next-door hybrid (Asian/White) beauty. That could be (if I'm correct) the artistic choice which distinguishes the doll from the LOA character.

I don't know about you, but I definitely appreciate photos of this sort of quality...more so than those we normally see from photo shoots. The reason being that it shows the doll at its least flattering--the effects of window dressing. In my opinion, the 168 still passes the eye test. That's a big compliment coming from me since I normally favor more petite bodies in women and dolls alike. That photo puts my buyers sensibility at ease, that is, given that the 168 is seemingly the most widely available and (if publicized measurements are to be believed) the most realistically proportioned.

yeah promo photo shoots can be deceiving the only doll that still looks great in factory photos would have to be their tifa doll. the 168 does have the most realistic proportions the only reason i didnt get that model was bc of the weight.

Damn samspud, Wednesday!? That's awesome! I'm happy for you, sans the anticipation that accompanies the waiting game. Then again, it's usually worth it; very likely well-worth it in Ellie's case. I do hope you post pics. It appears you'd be the first.

You know what’s great about factory photos? The doll looks considerably better in person. Ellie looks stunning. I’d imagine she would look even closer if she were able to look pissed all the time. lol ( who wants a doll that always looks poised off?) but congrats and please keep us posted
