New 60cm silicone fashion doll

Hello All!
This is the week!
We’ve been working for months to get to this point. Our new doll…Solaradoll… will be available very soon. I’ll be photographing the first prototypes in 4 days.
This is a fashion doll. She’s 2ft tall (60cm)
She has a highly engineered steel “ skeleton”, which allows her posing and standing.
At this time there are 5 different face choices.
For those who may have been collecting “Smartdolls”… all of the clothing/shoes, etc will fit! Solaradoll measurements are the same.. but, she is silicone, with the joints on the inside. This project has been a real pleasure all along the way. There are over 50 lovely pics I’ve taken so far, showing on Instagram. And, that is just the start.
I took the experience of making the dolls you see here on this site for the last 14 years, and applied that to a smaller scale. Several faces are anime, one a pixie. I quite enjoy sculpting her various faces and I’m sure there will be many more to come.
As I’ve geared down my creation of lifesize works, this is my new chapter. I look forward to your comments. I’ll be back here in a couple days when the official site is up. Cheers!

Those are beautiful; both the sculpting and the photography. Are the heads silicone or vinyl?

Very interested. Once your website up. I'd love it if you post dimensions as you did say it fits smartdoll clothes. That's fine and all but two serious question. Will the skin color match and will the head be interchangeable? Really I just want it to fit dollfie head.

I've been looking for a good silicone body for my dollfies for a while now and I hope this will be a good match. The very few other ones are around the 350-650$ depending on options.

Hi! Thanks for writing!
My assumption is that the neck size on all these dolls is virtually the same. I tend to take pics in natural light whenever possible. That shows the true skin tone.
I’m very excited that in 2 days I’ll have new prototypes in hand (with lots of new clothes and wigs and eyes) and will do a photo shoot in DC…historic shoot indeed!
That should give you a good idea about skin tone. I love how this is all coming together so nicely. I’m stoked!

Hi!
I’ve literally sculpted tens of thousands of pixies and elves by hand over the years. I look forward to adding plenty of new fantasy faces to the Solaradoll line. I’ve always thought that when you make fantasy real, (believable) then you really have something special.
I feel like the Anime faces are sort of a fantasy look. Those features lend themselves nicely to the land of faerie. These first 5 faces show some of the potential for variety on this lovely body. I’ll be taking pics of the pixie tomorrow.
I want to commission some awesome outfits for her as well.

We just received our first dolls with the new steel skeleton. Beautiful bodies and wonderfully poseable. This is Tiki. One of our anime faces. Fun stuff!

Thanks for following! It’s been such a blast watching the followers grow. Solaradoll is $575.
We’ve been adding all the links and finishing touches to the website for the last few days.
I made the first several dolls here in Va. but, to get the best skeleton and to handle the number of orders, I am working with a friend of mine in China to fulfill the orders. The first dolls have come from their shop and they look awesome.

Patrick, thanks for sharing your talent and expertise on this new chapter of development for your 60cm fashion line. Been awhile since I walked around Alexandria. Last time I visited the artist studios. However, great to see your own artistic creations at the waterfront.

Thanks! I’ve got to get to old town Alex. more often. The place was jumping. Which was really good to see. A couple weeks of beautiful days left! I walked the torpedo factory. Brings back so many memories, as I started my sculpting in Alexandria in the early 80’s. Just like yesterday! Ha!
