I’m looking forward to wandering around there again with you too!
We should definitely wait until all the flower gardens are in tho… it’s amazing then!

Wet, heavy and clumpy… frankly, I was surprised as much of it came down as it did.
When I left for work this morning, the drizzle was just starting to turn into snow. Weather reports said that we were going to get about 3 inches during the day… and we did. But temperatures were at and slightly above freezing, and by the time I left work, the snow had become drizzle again.
But it was still SNOW… so I had to stop at the Art Gardens to visit Cedar.

It was nice sloshing around in it, even if it wasn’t pretty.
I didn’t feel particularly creative… and Cedar seemed to sense my mood and mostly we just walked and kept quiet. I wouldn’t be surprised if all this snow melts by tomorrow afternoon.
At least Cedar put her bear suit on today!

Today’s snow was much better than the muck from the other day… but it was turning into puddles quickly.
Cedar and I walked by familiar places at the Gardens, and mostly decided not to take photos. But it wasn’t just because the snow wasn’t pretty today… no, we were enjoying just being outside together.
It doesn’t always have to be about the photos, right???

For a big chunk of 2023, the intrepid Bisboo and Zimzoo drove their trusty Bugaloo steadily towards my home, the Minx Mansion. It sure seemed like they were never going to make it here, since they were constantly exploring every new trail they came across. When we last saw them, they were still out in the wilds.
Did B & Z get lost in the Forest???
Rest assured dear readers, the Pixie sisters arrived at the MM safe and sound, well before the winter snows and muck, and they’ve been busy making their plans for new Springtime adventures!
But how did they finally find the right trail???
Let’s have a look and see… here’s a set I should’ve posted back in October…
Lost 🗺

“Can you see this trail on the map Zimzoo???”

“Uhhh… nope. This doesn’t look like any of the squiggles. I think we’re lost Bisboo.”
Lost 2.JPG (4.07 MiB) Viewed 425 times
“Maybe if we just keep driving, we’ll find the road to the Minx Mansion by accident???”
“UGH! Don’t say the word accident! I don’t wanna get stuck out here in the Forest all winter!!!”

“Do you hear that?”
“Yeah… that buzzing sound? What the heck is it???”

And with their Homing Heart in hand, the Tiny Twosome had no more difficulty finding their way to the MM for a well earned Winter rest and refitting.
Stay tuned dear readers for the further adventures of Bisboo and Zimzoo… coming in Spring!
Such a beautiful story with Cedar in the snow
The poses with Ta'rah are very successful
Oh Sky you are beautiful as a snow fairy
The adventures of Bisboo and Zimzoo had a good ending but it will go on!
It’s really warm out today… 60 degrees. It almost makes you think that Spring has arrived… but it’s just a trick.

The Tiny Frankies needed to investigate!
It was nice getting out and driving Moggie around on the trail. But the Forest definitely looked strange. It’s as if this warm weather surprised it as well. All was quiet and still.
I couldn’t place just what was missing. But it was something that would tell me Spring had actually arrived… instead of this mirage of Spring.
“Uhhh… yes, what is it Frankie?”
“🐿!!!”

That’s it… no chipmunks!
Thanks for stopping by Pia, Lone, John, Mr Franz, 4891d, Agent and everyone else!
I was surprised by some gentle snow flurries this morning… and delighted!

“Giggle!”
I’m grateful that I didn’t get so caught up in my dramas that I missed Cedar’s call!
Sometimes… I just get lucky. I had no plans to head to the Forest this weekend. I’m sure everyone is tired of my complaints about the lack of snow by now…
This morning, I needed to grocery shop, get gas and run a couple more errands. But right around sunrise… it started to snow.
Tiny little beautiful flakes…

Not enough snow to accumulate, but enough to outline the Forest, and pepper the ground in white.
It snowed the other day while I was at work, wet and heavy. By afternoon, the temps had climbed up to the point of melting it all into patchworks of random clumps… and that’s how it has stayed. Very uninspiring… until today.
This morning’s flurries happened while pretty cold out, 20 degrees… so it had a nearly weightless texture.
Perfect for Tiny Nymph pics!

As expected, it was just Cedar and I outside this morning.
The Art Gardens are on my way to the grocery store. Stopping for a quick giggle with Cedar isn’t just fun, it’s nourishing for my soul. I’m pleased that I’ve spent enough time and effort shooting pics outside with my tiny loves, that preparing for a simple outing like this takes me less that 5 minutes.
When inspiration strikes… or snow flurries… you gotta go!
Cedar, you've got such a knack for guiding ShadowFun to these places of subtle beauty. Things that most would just walk by and never notice, or at best glance at. And ShadowFun is so good at framing you with these views! All of them are good, but the ones that caught my eyes the most:
3 and 4: The contrast between the snow on the ground and the nearly snowless tree. The striking white line at the base makes it pop! Fantastic!
8-10: The warmth of the sun on Cedar's beautiful curves! So good!
Beautiful management of contrasts which reveal all the nuances of this fine layer of powdery snow.
I read that the Scots have 421 words for snow. The snow that Cedar shows us seems to be "snaw-pouther" brought by a "flindrikin".
This is my first discovery of Scot thanks to Cedar. Next winter I will look for the other 419 words.
