That made her smile.

Haven't finished closing the incision yet, but I moved her leg today, didn't hear a pop.

I hope this doesn't happen more often. Your doll with a broken hip, Isabella from Out_Of_Sync with a defective arm, that makes me wonder.
Better to leave mine in the box when she comes  .

It seems one can't be too careful.

She is now a happy hip surgery survivor!

Not necessarily. My favorite photo model is now turning 4 and I just notice how the joints go easier. And they have been moved a lot.

Is she a PIB? I like to think I can look forward to mine loosening up rather than breaking again.

Oh, no, sorry. An other manufacturer, no longer listed on TDF. But I can understand what you're going through.
I have a Sanhui here whose skeleton is so firm that I would rather break her back than move it. That's why there are no photos of her, totally unusable and a wasted money.

Dang, so sorry to hear that. Have you considered the possibility of slicing at the joints to loosen the bolts? It is possible to Silpoxy the cuts to be nearly undetectable.

If I ever order another doll, it will be with loose joints. I've heard DS loose joints are not floppy loose, but can be somewhat positionable, though they cannot stand.
