I had originally planned to sell Kim and buy a new Kimber Doll for her, but circumstances have changed. Azrael's costume took ages to fit, so I want to keep her in it for as long as possible. I thus need a girl for 'playtime'. Working hours have been cut, so it's best to hold on to the spare cash for as long as possible, as who knows what might be around the corner. Having repaired Caz' eye lashes and a couple of scars, I have more confidence in repairs that I did before. Of course Kim is never going to be anywhere near 100% again, so if she gets damaged by sleeping in bed, or by excessive 'fun' therein, it's not the end of the world.
So work has begun on repairing Kim as best she can be.
I started by removing the head bolt and fitting the spare quick-connect stud (both WM heads came with one) into her neck; the depth of the head thread isn't much, so I suspect only the top catch is locking; but it seems stable enough for working on her; time will tell whether this will work for sex. It also means I can use a simple 3D printed head stand with her.
When repairing her eye lashes, I found that Kimbers have the same kind of eye socket as WM dolls; like Azrael's, they are very shallow, but it means that eye backs might actually work on a Kimber; when I do Azrael's again, I will try her eye backs in Kim's head, just to see if they work. Oh, and shame on WM: Kim's 30mm half moon eyes are nice and smooth at the back, not jagged and requiring sandpapering like those of a doll costing 3 x what she did
I've also given her head a general clean up and removed the old lipstick and teeth paint. Next time I go to the big city, probably tomorrow, I'll see if the Primark has the liquid lipstick someone told me about.
So that's it for now; have to finish up the head then start work on the body.
