[Ask] Need help with PHICEN body cracking

Post by Chitose »

Hi everyone, I've just discovered about this forum recently.

I noticed 2 types of issues with my Phicen female bodies:

1) Deep cut / hole

2) Skin Peeling (sometimes there's a small cut / hole)

I need your advice to fix these kind of issues on my Phicen female bodies. It's starting to get worse if not treated properly. Thanks in advance

I solve such problems with $62 at Giantoy.

There are specialists who solve cracks like the one in the first picture with toxic solvents and/or hot air. That's out of the question for me, because I know what you can do to yourself with such solvents.

The second picture doesn't look as severe, but in my opinion it is more critical. It could perhaps be smoothed out with hot air, but it will always come back.

Edit, Welcome to the Forum. :glou:

Welcome Chitose, sorry to see the damage you have. I have several bodies with similar damage. I have not started to repair them yet.

Since Phicen bodies are TPE, any of the many techniques found on this forum for repairing TPE sex dolls are effective on them. Phicens use a harder TPE blend, so the exact methods will likely need some modifying. As Wolferich stated, there are a lot of methods that use toxic chemicals and, burning TPE is toxic as well, so proceed with caution. Replacing a damaged Phicen is a lot easier on your wallet than a $2000 sex doll.

Have you put any mineral oil on your doll? The cracking in the second picture may be due to a drying out effect. I know TPE absorbs water and this will displace the oil in the skin. Ultimately, I do not know what exactly could have caused the damage.

Good luck!

Thanks! I wonder if there's any glue that could be used without melting the TPE ??

I have been using Baby powder instead of baby oil, am I doing it incorrectly ? Will definitely try it...

Some of the bodies have unique skin color & body type (i.e Phicen Tomoe, Shi, Arhian City) so that means replacing it would be impossible ...

Baby powder is fine and you'll have to put it on after oiling because they will be sticky. I'm guessing the cracking is from the oils in their skin drying out. You might notice that they will be softer after applying some oil. Go easy with it. Too much oil can be a problem also. I usually let it soak in for at least a day before powdering.

As far as I know, the glues that work best will all melt TPE. This is why people use them sparingly and with extreme caution. I do not plan on using glue. I will be using heat to repair and smooth out the damage.

Practice makes perfect as they say. I plan on working on some unimportant bodies before trying anything on my favorite ones. Since you have some special edition bodies, maybe it would be best to oil and powder them and put them aside for now.

Thanks again Shadow! Really appreciate your help!

1 more question: After oiling your Phicen, how much time do you need before powdering them? :multi:

Probably at least 24 hours but you'll be able to tell. Sometimes, if I've washed the doll, I'll oil her twice.

I just bought some phicen doll, I have some question: How do you take care of them. When do you use baby oil/bay powder, how often? sorry for this noob question.

Welcome to the forum DS.
Oil I use quite rarely, rather in the aftermath when I have removed stains. After washing they are also powdered. The interval between washing depends on what you do with them. So 1-2 times a year.
Have a nice day or night.

Oiling 1-2 times a year sounds sensible considering the very small mass of these tiny beauties :)
