How to make a doll look alive...
One word... catchlights. They say that the eyes are the window to the soul. Catchlights bring life to a doll.
1. What’s a catchlight?
A catchlight can add dimension not only to the eye, but to the entire story (or portrait). They can add depth to the subject in unexpected ways. Read more in the article below.

Lighting is important - especially with the eyes. I use Johnson’s baby oil with a q-tip to dab the eyes.
Here’s another tip for everyone......

I've had bad luck with lip gloss. Does this set up and actually dry onto the TPE? Love to give it a shot if so.Anthony191 wrote:I agree with the lighting perspective.

Hi everyone,
The Clear Lip Gloss works well for just only 4 hours (just enough time for your gals photo shoot duration). Just apply another application for an extra 4 hours if you are doing a long photo shoot.
Eventually - the lip gloss will dry out and be absorbed by the TPE material for those hours. That’s how chemistry works.
