The forum has lost a very wonderful lady in Kim aka Irish Girl. I have meet her in person many times and she was a big fan of Chrissy. She even gave Chrissy Frying Pan earrings!! May You R.I.P Kim

autolycus wrote:I am heartbroken. I had the pleasure of meeting Kim twice at doll meets; she was one of my favorite people, doll community or otherwise. She had such a big heart, such an easy manner, easy laugh, and positive disposition despite her long hard battle with the cancer. I'm a shy person, but Kim had a way of drawing you in, setting you at ease, and making you comfortable. She was one of those people who made you feel like you were lifelong friends after just a few minutes together. I have missed her since the last meet over a year ago, and now I miss her even more. Doll gatherings won't be quite as sunny without her presence.

My heart especially goes out to her husband Rich who stood by her through the long, difficult illness. I hope he knows he can reach out here for support from his friends.

This is so sad.
Very well said !!

I remember how excited she was, she called me over, "Hey Teej..look what I got for Chrissy! I saw these and I had to get them for her..." of course that was for the frying pan earrings. :D

I haven't been on TDF for quite some time. I'm horrified to return and learn of this sad news. My thoughts and prayers are with Tongue and family. My early memories here on TDF as a newbie would never be complete without the wonderful comments from Irishgirl. She will be missed.

I did not know Kim or Rich as I am new here. I recently posted what I consider my finest photograph on her thread titled "Headshots". I somehow feel honored that my best effort ended up on her thread. When my wife of 31 years passed in February of 2018 the only thing I could say was that she is no longer here to comfort us but she is no longer here suffering. To quote INXS "Its hard to believe we need a place called Hell". Seems it's sometimes right here. She will live on in your hearts, always.

Hi everyone

I have been communicating with Rich and told him about the outpouring of love and support from all of you. He asked I let you all know that is very touched and appreciates you all very much. He also wants you to know he will be logging in soon to let you know that himself. Until then, please know you have all helped him tremendously.

I didn't know her very well, but our limited interaction impressed upon me that she was a kind person who loved her doll and it showed in the photo challenges. She will be missed.

I'm really sorry to hear this sad news.

IG was one of the first members that I exchanged messages with and she made lovely comments about Lettie and she brought humour and joy to us on here.

I'm sure like all of us, Kim was always in the back of my mind, never forgotton, wondering how she was going on, and hoping for good news in the end.

My condolonces and love to Rich all who know her.

Kim was at the first major doll meet I ever went to. It was in Pennsylvania. Wherever Kim was during that meet, a small crowd would always seem to form, she had a charisma and charm about her that just drew you in.

I was lucky enough to attend 2 other doll meets since then that Kim was also at. One of my absolute favorites was a smaller doll meet we had in Ohio. It was only 6 of us and we had such a fantastic time. Again Kim seem to be the person that drew everyone together. Kim will always hold a special place in my heart.

My condolences to you Rich and your family.
