Amalija - My Textile Doll

A couple of weeks ago my Textile Doll arrived from Latvia. As you know in this forum, these are hand made by Yuri and each one is unique in its way rather than being a set product. I decided to call her Amalija as that is a Latvian name. She is a 165cm "Big Bertha" Body with custom smaller breasts (I measured her for sports bra and she seems to be a 30B). She seems to fit US size 6 dresses (larger end of woman's small) and US women's size 7 shoes. She weighs 7 kg (about 15 lbs)

I decided to get a plush doll because with only one good arm, I was afraid that wouldn't be able to handle a (full-sized) TPE or silicone doll, plus as I was interested in dressing her up, I'm a bit frightened of the horror stories those dolls seem to have with staining due to clothes. I chose a Textile Doll over a Teddy Babe as I like how realistic Textile Dolls look (nearly comparable to TPE/silicone).

Below are some of the first pictures I've taken of her. I rather like how she looks in glasses, personally.

And welcome to Amalija. We also have a Textile Doll in our familly named Evelyne, she is with us for more than four years. She don't have a doll account like me, but I must admit that I'm privilegied and has to wait five years to get it! may be, when you will be more familar with the forum, Amalija will ask you to open his own account - it's easy to do.

So glad to have found this form, this is the first I have heard of the Textile doll and I must say they look and sound intriguing
