He Arrived!! Pics Included

He arrived today!

I work from home so only got the chance to unpack him (still at "work"). Boy is he heavy whoa!

I'm going to dress him later, get to know him and then I'll post some pics for you all. I have to say I'm really impressed. He looks so life like. I was a little unsure when I bought him because I only saw his pictures and was expecting him to be not quite the same. His absolutely true to the images (actually better). His eyes, skin tone, lips just look so real! He came with 2 wigs as well.

I'm really pleased.

Any advice on how to move him from room to room?

Wow, he's gorgeous!
I'm curious about his face.

I bought a simple height-adjustable chair with wheels, so I can move my doll around easily.
And in addition, he has his own seat, if he wants to get up from bed and doesn't want to stand around just like that

He's had a long journey and he's tired. After I wrestled his underwear on him he fell asleep (to be honest I'm tired from moving him lol)

I have seen and read here on the forum of using an office chair with wheels to move heavy Dolls around, never had any really heavy Dolls so can't say I have ever done this myself.

I use this hand truck to move my Hadleigh around the house:

I have a large workbench that I cover with her blanket and then lay her out flat on her back to ensure that all of her joints are straight. First, I put her jeans or skirt on up to her thighs, then socks and shoes/boots. For the lift, I put the arm on my side out about 60-degrees from the axis of her spine. Then, I get my shoulder into her armpit and my other arm under her legs just below her butt. A slight lift and a twist, set her feet down on the platform (doll facing the handles) and then gently tilt her forward onto the truck. A quick balance check and then finish donning her outfit. For the trip across the house, I sometimes bend her arms around the top of the hand truck level with her underbust. Then, I transport her to where she will stand, put her arms back at her sides, then lift her slightly and lean her there and pull the hand truck out from under her feet by hooking a foot up under the axle and pulling it toward me. It make take a little practice, but it's easier than dead-lift carrying an 88-lb doll down narrow hallways and through various doorways.

Congrats on his arrival! ok so for moving him, what I do with mine (36kg or 80 pounds) is, in standing position, I put my strong hand and half forearm around her crotch, then my left hand and forearm around her back at the level of her armpits - human and doll chests making contact. Then, with your back as straight as you can, squat lift the hell out of him. This is better if you are taller than the doll, otherwise you will have to make much more force upwards with your arms and not your legs and that is a receipt for disaster - both of you could fall down, given you manage to lift him up. For this method you have to be reasonably in shape and it's quite exhausting but the fastest for me.

Always, always watch your back - never bend it, avoid that kind of injury at all costs.

If you can't do that, consider laying him down on a thick blanket that you can safely drag across the rooms then lift him up to standing position if required (with your back as straight as possible always - I can't stress this enough because I have a bad back and am very careful with it).

Hell I even considered her wearing roller skates permanently haha.

I will share more pics of him. He's got some really nice clothes coming and I'm looking forward to how he'll look with them on.

I've decided to buy him a gas lift stool on wheels to move him around. My apartment is small with limited space and I think that will suit quite well
