Flexi Edition Skeleton Head Connection

Post by trs80 »

I've been told that the new skeleton is not compatible with old heads.

I've also been told that the old heads could be used with the new skeleton with an adapter that Sanhui provides.

Anyone here with non-AIO Flexi skeleton body? If so, please share what the new head connector looks like on the body and head too.

Cheers!

From my experience with the 168 it is the same push on connector with both the ball joint skeleton and the flexi skeleton.

Older bodies/heads used screw on connector. Which I guess is not compatible.

I ordered 2 hanging hooks when I ordered a new flexi skeleton 168, 1 for my older ball joint and another for the new body.

And this is from the factory video. Showing 2 very different sized hooks.

I was told at the time of the order, my vendor said Sanhui told them that the new flexi skeleton requires an adapter for older heads. Now I didn't realize there's even older version with screw connection.

My Severine head is push connector and came with a ball joint body.

I just need to make sure that the head will fit the new body, whether it requires adapter or not. In the factory vid, there's no adapter of any kind that I can see.

Hope Sanhui or Mike can shed some light on this. I can't give approval to ship without a clear indication from Sanhui that this body is compatible with my Severine head.

Thanks.

The latest info I got from Mike is that normally older heads with push connector is not compatible with Flexi skeleton. But for my case they installed older style head connection in the body to make it compatible with my existing head.

I'll just need to see knee bend beyond 90 degrees from Sanhui to verify this is hybrid Flexi + old head connection body.

If that is so, this is something the community should be aware of and I hope Sanhui publishes the various head connection methods used on their website.

Finally, does this mean that I can't purchase their newer heads to use with this body?

Interesting info. I was not aware that there was two push on connectors.

I must have the same variant as you then, old style connector in flexi body (without knowing it).

I don't know for sure that such hybrid exists. I'm here trying to get a verification from Sanhui.

I hope Mike can post here directly but if he decides to PM me instead I'll share my findings here.

Here's the factory video they sent me. It appears that the latest body material is softer? Breasts appear somewhat softer but the butt is most definitely softer than my previous bodies. I'm actually dreading that this is Sange (TPE) body. So I've asked Mike to confirm that this is indeed Platinum Silicone.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lM6U8Y ... sp=sharing

In another video, the knee bending was about 90 degrees. Clear indication that this is not Flexi body and I'm thoroughly confused by all this because I specifically asked for knee bending beyond 90 degrees to prove that this is Flexi skeleton.

Knee bending demo:
http://taomsg-imvod.alicdn.com/default/ ... kLqckZ.mp4

If this is some type of new Silicone, Sanhui will go straight up to top of my list. If this turns out to be TPE or anything less than what I ordered.......

I got a confirmation from Mike that the smaller hook and the head stand are not compatible with older head/body.

So this means that newer head connection is smaller in diameter, although I still have not seen it anywhere.

And it means that you can't use older heads with Flexi skeleton unless you ask for older style connection when you order.

I can see older body using new heads with some type of adapter, which I've not seen or know if it exists, but definitely not the other way around.

I got a flexi 158cm body early on as a replacement. The female neck connector has a ~15mm (calipers measured 14.97mm) inner diameter. The heads I got with my replacement are also push style connectors if that's any help.
Sanhui 160cm AIO Maria (broken hip joint)
Sanhui 158cm Flexi (broken knee joint)
Top-Sino 159cm T1, T3 (retired)
Elsababe 150cm XXL (retired)
Tayu/Art Doll 148cm D+ cup
Tayu/Art Doll 161cm F cup

That sounds like the connector I have now. I can't measure it exactly but I remember trying out M16 hook and it was slightly too big, so it could be M14.

So how many type of head connector are there with Sanhui doll? I order a flexi body for my old head. Old head is a push on, and it's stud too big for the body's neck connector. Order a brand new head for the new body, the new head still wouldn't go in. Now...2 heads later, my doll is still headless.

At the bottom of the neck hole I can see screw threads. But my head stud is smooth without screw threads at all.

Can that stud on the head be replaced to be the correct type?

My doll has the new flexi skeleton. However, the head is so loose that it always turns and wiggles. The wobble is unfortunately intensified because the bolt in the head loosens and has to be screwed on again and again.

You know what....I got the head in! I shown Mike photos of my doll and he confirmed I have the matching parts. So I add some metal lubricant, and stuff the head into neck like there is no tomorrow. After some effort, it got in!

Admittingly my previous doll was much easier.

I think the black rubber rings on the stub is sticking out and I just have to force it in. I really don't want to take it out ever again after all that. But it got in. Profit!

So try harder? ;)

This is not good.

My body hasn't arrived yet, but I fear now that it won't fit like my older broken body judging by pgargon and Silver Silence's experience.

And for me, keeping the head on all the time is not an option. I have to take it off every time she goes into storage.

What is the bolt diameter size on old and new? I tried M16 bolt on my old doll it was too big. I ordered M14 to see if will fit so I can finally hang my old doll. There's much confusion because there's no official documentation.

I have to say that Sanhui is dropping the ball once again. Please clarify and make it right.

I hope the photos help you to have better idea. They show the new head connector that come with the flexi skeleton. Seem like the diameter is at 1.1cm. I no longer have the old head.

Thank you so much for the pictures, Silver Silence.

I think the threaded part at the bottom is for body hook. I'm going to guess that it is M10 since the upper non-threaded part is 1.1cm.

Just looking at the photos, I'm not convinced that it's an improvement. The old style connection was near perfect, IMHO.

Now that you've experienced both connection systems, is the new one better?
